00:15The campaign will start in two weeks from the official time

00:20for the candidates in the national position

00:23and also for the party list organization for the 2025 national and local elections.

00:28That's why the Commission on Elections, aside from the posters, tarpaulins, and ads on TV and radio,

00:35is also studying the use of influencers during the campaign.

00:41According to Comelec Chairman George Erwin Garcia,

00:44if there is an influencer who will endorse a candidate and make it a content,

00:50they can ask for the contract because it must be included

00:54in the Statement of Contributions and Expenditures of a candidate.

00:58To what extent do they talk about it? Do they have a contract?

01:34they should also include influencers.

01:37Comelec also stressed that it will not exceed the spending limit of 3 pesos per registered voter

01:44for those who have a party and 5 pesos for those who do not have a party.

01:48The influencers and talents or artists who will endorse a candidate,

01:54how can we presume that they will be paid by candidates or political parties?

02:02Candidates who will endorse themselves will be excluded from the Statement of Contributions and Expenditures of a candidate.

02:06The regulation will only be included if they have already paid their influencer.

02:11The Comelec and TikTok will sign an agreement to help with the regulation of political content on social media.

02:20Aside from influencers, Comelec will also look at the possible regulation of the upcoming surveys.

02:27It should be commissioned by the candidate.

02:30During the campaign period, it was also included in the Statement of Contributions and Expenditures of a candidate.

02:33We can make stricter guidelines on the handling of surveys.

02:41Again, we are not against surveys.

02:43This is constitutional according to the Supreme Court.
