00:00Early registration for Kindergarten, Grade 1, 7, and 11 is on-going for the next school year.

00:08Live from Dagupan City, this is CJ Torrida of GMA Regional TV. CJ?

00:17Based on the implementing guidelines in the school calendar and activities of the DEPED,

00:22early enrollment should be done starting last Saturday of January.

00:30One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten.

00:35Teacher Maria Lovelia Cesar is one of the teachers of the Grade 1 class in West Central Elementary School 1 in Dagupan City.

00:43There are 217 students in Grade 1 in the school, which is divided into 7 sections.

00:50Five subjects are taught in Grade 1, including Language, Reading and Literacy, Mathematics, GMRC, and International Studies.

00:59This is also what will be taught in the incoming Grade 1 for the school year 2025-2026,

01:04where early registration started last Saturday, January 25, 2025.

01:11Aside from Grade 1, there is also early registration in Kindergarten, Grade 7 and 11 in high school.

01:17There is no limit on the number of enrollees.

01:20As of August 31, we will have a cut-off for those who will enter Kindergarten.

01:26So, we are not limiting everyone, as long as the requirements are met.

01:31There are not many people who made a list of the first three days of early registration.

01:36Janine's mother will talk to her son to enroll her grandson, who is incoming Grade 1, in the next school year.

01:43It's too early to enroll the kids. It's not always late.

01:49DepEd's early registration will last until February 15.

01:57DepEd warned the school authority that the cut-off age of Kindergarten should be followed.

02:04An enrollee should be five years old before the end of August.
