00:06That's such a great question. That's such a good question. You know, it's, you know,
00:10one of the things that I thought was Pete Carroll did a great job of was he owned LA.
00:17We own Southern California. If you were a top star, top five star player, four star player
00:23in Southern California, you were going to USC. And that's one thing that we got to get back to
00:28is owning our backyard, owning LA, because there's so much talent here in LA, going down
00:35to Orange County, going all the way down to San Diego, where I'm from. There's so much talent.
00:40If you just own that, you're going to have a really, really good football team. And then
00:47if you can take it up north, right to Northern California, you're really, you know, expanding
00:53and doing well. And so one of the things that, you know, I felt, again, like I said,
00:58it was what Pete did a great job of was just, we owned LA. You know, our top star players went here.
01:05And that's going to come down to messaging and recruiting. You know, I think bringing somebody
01:11back like me helps that, helps with recruiting. Honestly, I'm being serious. And, you know,
01:16I feel like I can help with recruiting. But, you know, also, you know, this is also
01:23a different era as well, where now you got to pay, where players are getting paid, you know,
01:27and so you're going to have to have, you know, big enough alumni behind you to be able to go
01:34forward some of these players, you know, some of these quarterbacks. And I saw Carson Beck is
01:38getting like four or five million to go to Miami or something like that. Like, that's crazy.
01:43More than most of the NFL quarterbacks.
01:46He's making more than most NFL quarterbacks at college. But that's what you need. You know,
01:52you need some power, you know, some resources behind you. And I believe USC has that, you know.
01:57So now what it's going to come down to for them is just, you know, relatability. You know,
02:01we got to be able to relate to these players. We got to be able to relate to the youth. You know,
02:05and then also transfer portal is now a thing, you know, so we got to also get, we got to be
02:10active in the transfer portal as well because, you know, it's crazy, man. This is so crazy for
02:18me to just think about where college football is right now, you know, which is just so far
02:24different from my experience. You know, it's just, it's so different, you know, and even for me
02:28talking about it now, I still just, I get wowed, like, I can't believe I'm saying this, you know,
02:33but yeah, we got to go and pay these quarterbacks to come, you know, to come to USC. It's so crazy.
