00:00Have you had any clients saying they want to move to any areas like Orange County or
00:07move elsewhere?
00:08So I saw Josh on TMZ say 50% of people are not moving back to the Palisades and I would
00:15totally disagree and I think he's wrong on that.
00:19We see a lot of people wanting to stay in Angeleno, we see a lot of familial ties, business
00:24ties and we are not going to lose that many people.
00:29So people are definitely going to want to stay, go back to the Palisades and stay here
00:33in the area.
00:34If I had to put a percentage, I'd say 80% are rebuilding, 10% are venturing to other
00:39areas and 10% may go to other states.
00:42So look, building is going to be a long process, it's not going to get rebuilt overnight.
00:46I estimate it's going to take 5-10 years to get back to where it was and I'm telling my
00:51clients to baby step it.
00:54Let's figure out, first step is get them homes to live in, second step is to figure
00:59out insurance monies and other financial decisions and last is to go full step ahead and build.
01:07So what about those people who don't want to wait 5-10 years to rebuild, they want something
01:13quicker, what would you recommend to them?
01:15So we're seeing a lot of that and if those people can afford to buy, we see that they're
01:20looking in areas like Brentwood, Santa Monica, Bel Air, Beverly Hills.
01:25So even though they don't necessarily want to leave the Palisades, they are venturing
01:28out, but they've all told me they ultimately want to get back.
01:32A lot of our clients are also upset with the politics that led to this, they feel a little
01:41abandoned by the city and felt that the city should have been more prepared with an incident
01:46like this.
01:47And do you find that those clients are worried that if they do rebuild, there's always the
01:52potential for more disaster down the line, are any of them worried about that?
01:55I think they are worried about it, I think that we need to figure out insuranceability
02:00for all these homes and I think the city of Los Angeles has to do a bigger and better
02:05job of protecting its residents if a natural disaster like this happens and hopefully that's
02:12going to happen because we as a city deserve that.
02:17Well I appreciate you taking the time out of your day.
02:18Thanks so much.
02:19Thanks Aaron.
02:20See ya.
