London is bracing itself for more stormy weather on Monday, as Storm Herminia hits the UK bringing winds of up to 80mph.Yellow weather warnings for wind and rain are in place covering large swathes of southern England, while the capital could see gusts of up to 45mph at the start of the week.

00:00Hello, here's your latest weather update from the Met Office. I'm Marco Pitania.
00:04Over the next few days we hold on to unsettled conditions with low pressure dominating.
00:08Low pressure currently set out towards the west of the UK but gradually making inroads from the west
00:12and notice tightly packed ice bars indicating pretty blustery conditions
00:16with outbreaks of rain never too far away. So looking at things in more detail for
00:20today now then, we've got a pretty unsettled picture across the UK with bands of showers
00:24moving in from the south west, moving north and east across pretty much all parts as we go
00:28through the day. Could be a bit of winterness at times across the hills of Scotland and wherever
00:32you are those showers will be accompanied by pretty blustery conditions with gales
00:36particularly down towards the south and south west of the UK with parts of Wales perhaps seeing some of the
00:40heaviest bursts of rain. Temperatures on the face of it not too bad, close to the seasonal average
00:44in fact in the range 6 to 10 Celsius, 10 down towards the south west
00:48there is 50 in Fahrenheit. But if we add on the effect of those showers and those brisk winds
00:52it's certainly going to feel much colder out and about. Heading into the evening
00:56through the overnight period then, low pressure still anchored pretty much towards
01:00the west of the UK so we'll see further shower bursts of rain moving pretty much
01:04across all areas from south to north as we go through the overnight period. Again there could be a bit of
01:08winterness across the mountains of Scotland but given the blustery conditions with gales
01:12in some parts and those showers too, the temperatures will tend to hold up so most
01:16places will be frost free, lowest values in Scotland down into low single figures
01:20but for much of the UK holding up around 5 to 7 Celsius.
01:24On into Tuesday now and low pressure will be pretty much slap bang across the UK
01:28so the winds will start to ease down gradually but notice from the chart there there's lots of
01:32showers still to contend with. Again some of those showers could be quite heavy in places
01:36emerging still to give some longer spells of rain. There will still be enough of a wind
01:40to take the edge off the temperature, highs of 6 to 10 Celsius, 10
01:44down towards the south west again as it's around the 50 Fahrenheit mark. That's pretty
