00:03Detectives are appealing for CCTV and dash cam footage after a suspected arson attack on a house in Chesterfield.
00:11The fire started at the front door of a property in Kingsley Avenue in Birdholm shortly after 4.30pm on Saturday.
00:18Nobody was injured in the fire, which is thought to have been set deliberately by two men.
00:23Detectives investigating the circumstances are appealing for witnesses and want to hear from anyone with CCTV or doorbell footage that may help their enquiries.
00:33Police also want to hear from motorists with dash cam footage that may feature a silver BMW with a soft top being driven in the area around the time of the incident.
00:43Anyone who can help is asked to contact Derbyshire Police, quoting reference number 25 asterisk 48575.
00:54Cash Straps Derbyshire County Council says it aims to achieve a balanced budget for the 2025-26 financial year,
01:02with plans to raise Council's tax by 4.9% and by introducing £18.6 million of further savings and cutbacks.
01:11The Conservative-controlled Council's Cabinet is due to consider the Revenue Budget Report when it meets this Thursday,
01:17before it is presented and discussed at a full Council meeting on February 12th.

01:25We are focusing on the most effective ways to deliver savings and identifying ways to reduce the increasing pressure on services.
01:33This includes changing the way we work overall as a Council and fundamentally changing our operating model to ensure we are working as one Council,
01:41bringing some functions together as well as challenging all expenditure.
