00:03Chesterfield Council planners have given the green light to a large care home extension

00:12which was used to house refugees.
00:15The Borough Council's Planning Committee approved Aspire Healthcare Ltd's application
00:19for an extension at the currently empty Elmwood House Nursing Home on Elm Street in Hollingwood

00:27Dr Ivan Bakalchev, who founded Aspire Health, told a meeting
00:39Some residents raised objections about the size, noise, appearance and location of the
00:43extension and its impact on the residential area.
00:46However, a council officer stated that the design is considered to be acceptable and
00:51that the potential for overlooking and overshadowing is considered to be within acceptable limits.
