In Sydney, the culmination of the day’s reflections and celebrations is about to get underway on the forecourt of the Opera House. Jeremy Fernandez is co-hosting tonight’s concert.

00:07Australia Day live concert.
00:09This is the big finale of the day's events.
00:12After a day of contemplation and ceremony, it's time to celebrate.
00:16Some of Australia's best performers have been deep in rehearsals here on the Opera House
00:20forecourt and they're ready to belt out a classic all-Aussie songbook.
00:25We've got Shepard, Paulini, Dragon and William Barton, just to name a few.
00:31And there'll be something for everyone from opera to jazz and ballroom dancing, plus an
00:36incredible tribute to the legendary Yothu Yindi.
00:40And there'll be action on the water too, jet skis and flyboarders along with ships and
00:44boats dancing across Circular Quay in formation.
00:49Now the scale of this production is absolutely incredible with about a thousand people involved
00:55behind the scenes.
00:56And take a look at this, you couldn't ask for a better weather forecast.
00:59Later on tonight the skies will light up with a massive fireworks display and light show
01:04and we'll take a moment to honour the vast array of Aussies from across the country as
01:09we reflect, respect and celebrate our national day.
