Artificial Intelligence has attracted a great deal of interest worldwide in recent years. India has also been rapidly pushing to adopt AI in recent months and has been eyeing global leadership in AI. This is primarily due to the immense potential that AI has in terms of transforming various sectors such as healthcare, education, agriculture, and military, among others. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has held several meetings with top tech CEOs, such as Microsoft, Infosys and Perplexity to attract tons of investments into the AI landscape in India. Meanwhile, there are 706 AI tech companies in India which are either providing AI as a service or as an infrastructure. So, will India emerge as a global leader in AI?
