The mystery over OpenAI researcher-turned-whistleblower Suchir Balaji's death continues to deepen with the release of new photos from what is being reported as the "crime scene." While San Francisco authorities have declared Balaji's death last November as "suicide", the 26-year-old techie's parents have claimed that their son was killed. The crime scene photos showed blood pooled next to the bathroom where Suchir Balaji was discovered dead on November 26, 2024. The blood also splattered around the bathroom far from the body. Balaji's parents have maintained that their son's apartment was also ransacked, "like someone was searching for something." Earlier, Balaji's mother Poornima Rao claimed that her son had documents that would have revealed alleged wrongdoings in the development of generative AI by Sam Altman's OpenAI.
