00:00In order to support the circular economy model towards a clean and sustainable Metro Manila,

00:07the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority passed the Road to Zero Waste Expo.

00:12It gave the importance of the circular economy model where it prioritizes recycling,

00:18reusing things, and reducing waste to the communities.

00:22We need to change our way of thinking that waste is garbage.

00:27Waste actually is a valuable resource.

00:31All waste that we see around us can be converted into a valuable resource.

00:42The local government units in Metro Manila also donated their recycled products.

00:47New technologies and initiatives were also shown

00:50by various organizations that can help to better manage waste and reduce its impact on the environment.

00:57I think events like this are very important, not just for me as a student,

01:01but also for those people who attend this event.

01:04Because this event prioritizes the use of things that other people don't use anymore,

01:11and they are making new things.

01:14The Road to Zero Waste Expo is part of the MMDA's broader campaign

01:18to protect the rightful use of waste and address the challenges of urbanization in Calacang, Manila.

01:25Meanwhile, several vehicles were illegally parked,

01:27parked and parked by the MMDA Special Operations Group Strike Force

01:31in the Clearing Operations on Teresa Street, Santa Mesa, Manila.

01:35The owners of the vehicles were fined P1,000 for attended illegal parking

01:40and P2,000 for unattended illegal parking.

01:44The Department of Public Works and Highways will conduct road reblocking and repairs

01:48from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. on January 27 on the following roads.

01:54The affected roads will be made passable at 5 a.m. on Monday, January 27.

02:01Motorists are being reminded to use alternative routes

02:04to avoid traffic congestion in affected areas.
