00:00Sir, since Government Medical College Ratlam has been opened and since we have started Eye Bank,

00:07our Eye Bank has been started since December 2023.

00:10And after that, we have got support in Abbottpurva Netradan by the people of Ratlam.

00:17Till now, we have done 77 eye retrieval.

00:21We have done double eye retrieval. We have done around 154 cornea retrieval.

00:32Along with this, we are also doing a lot of charity work,

00:35so that the first year students of Medical College can study well.

00:40So, this is very encouraging for the people of Ratlam and Government Medical College.

00:52This is a very simple process and eye donation can be done anywhere.

00:56For example, we have done eye donation till cremation ground, in mortuary, in hospitals

01:02and even at home, we have done eye donation and eye retrieval.

01:07In this, there is no distortion in the body.

01:10We just remove the corneal button of the eye.

01:14After that, we put a shield and close the eye.

01:17So, in this, the rest of the people do not even know that they have done eye donation.

01:21So, there is no distortion at all.

01:23There are many conditions in which we do not do eye donation or eye retrieval.

01:29For example, there is a case of hanging, drowning, poisoning

01:34or there is a case of infection like hepatitis, HIV.

01:38In any cancerous condition, we generally do not prefer eye retrieval or eye donation.

01:44And the biggest thing is that since the opening of Medical College,

01:48the number of eye donation has increased a lot.
