00:00In order for tourism in the country to be more competitive, the Department of Tourism is pushing for a visa liberalization in India.
00:09According to Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia-Frasco,
00:12the country had the opportunity to invite the Tourism Minister of India to the ASEAN Tourism Ministers' Meeting in Malaysia.
00:20The plan of the current administration is to have an e-visa system for India.
00:29And as a preparation for the possible arrival of Indian tourists.
00:33According to Frasco, joint working meetings were held in India.
00:37And business missions were also sent where the private tourism stakeholders are included.
00:46The DFA has initially launched this system.
00:49And we are hopeful that with the President's instructions,
00:53this system will become more efficient, professional, and globally competitive.
