00:00And at this point, let's talk about the update on the programs of the current administration here in Mr. President on the Grove.
00:23First of all, fellow countrymen, approved by the Department of Budget and Management, Secretary Amena Pangandaman, the issuance of more than Php 30 billion to meet the regular pension requirements of the Military and Uniformed Personnel or MUP for the first quarter of 2025.
00:42This is in accordance with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
00:48The DBM said that the funds will be allocated to the Pension and Gratuity Fund under the Republic Act 12116 or 2025 General Appropriations Act.
01:00Php 16.752 billion will be allocated to the General Headquarters PR Oper of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Philippine Veterans Affairs Office under the Department of National Defense.
01:15Php 13.297 billion will be allocated to the attached agencies of the Department of the Interior and Local Government including the Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, and National Police Commission.
01:33The DBM also issued Php 8.530 million for the 34 pensioners under the National Mapping and Resource Information Authority of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
01:45The required funds for the payment of the pension to the Philippine Coast Guard's 2,836 retired Uniformed Personnel amounted to Php 350.680 million.
01:58The DBM said that the issuance of funds for the pension of the MUP is in accordance with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
02:07For the many retired members of the MUP and their families, the pension is a lifeline that will meet their daily needs such as buying medicine or food.
