00:09He joined recently as a Secretary General of Indian Direct Selling Association.
00:14So, aaj hum log jab yaha pe kathrit hue the, yeh North Eastern Expo tha jaha pe poore North East K state ke jo direct sellers the, jino ne extraordinary kiya hai apni field me.
00:25So, IDSA ne unko recognize kiya, along with some local entrepreneurs who are contributing in education, CSR, hospitality industry as well.
00:36Main direct selling industry ke baare mein baat karoon. It's a 21,000 crore industry as per the recent survey unveiled.
00:45And 8.6 million, 86 lakh log iss industry ke saath jodhe hue hai. Unki livelihood jo hai iss industry ke saath hai.
00:53Coming to the North Eastern part, direct selling ke liye, ek bahuti important region hai, to North East hai.
01:02Aur North East mein 2000 crore ka turnover hai, in entire North East. Aur jisme se, I think 50% jo contribute karta hai, wo Assam karta hai.
01:12So, 1000 crore is coming from Assam. Aur 2.38 lakh direct sellers are involved in this industry, in this region.
01:22And majorly are the direct sellers, the ladies direct sellers. And what we have seen, that most of the youngsters and specially the ladies,
01:31joining this industry and contributing to their livelihood. Miss Reniki Sharma was the chief guest today.
01:41And we have Anasua Baura today with us. She is the secretary from the Consumer Affairs.
01:48And the government is working on monitoring mechanism. Jaise direct selling ke rules notify hua hai 2021 mein.
01:55Aur state government jo hai, Assam mein ye iske upar kaam kar rahe hain, monitoring mechanism ke liye. Committee form ho gayi hai.
02:02And I am happy to announce that IDSA is the subject matter expert who will consult the government in, you know,
02:09filtration process jab bhi koi application government ke paas aayi hai. Aur jaise ki ma'am ne bataya,
02:15soon they will come up with the comprehensive guidelines, how direct selling companies can operate in North East.
