00:00Right, last one on the way down, Wolves' talisman. He's been the best player this season. He's the best player in the squad.
00:06But there was something off last night. Mateus Cunha was very disappointing, not just in terms of his overall display, but his body language on the pitch.
00:15I felt left a lot to be desired and frustrating, really, because we all know how good he is.
00:21We all know people who were there at Sanford Bridge last season know that brilliant hat-trick of his.
00:26Absolutely superb. Whether his head's been turned by potential talks with other clubs, I'm not too sure.
00:33Of course, he missed Friday's training with illness, so he obviously improved his fitness over the weekend because he wouldn't have lasted 96 minutes or whatever he did last night.
00:41But at the same time, that was a pretty abject performance from a brilliant, brilliant player.
00:47Yeah, absolutely. We've been nothing but praising Mateus Cunha all season, rightly so, because he scored 10 Premier League goals.
00:54He's clearly Wolves' best player. I think you put it right last night in one of your tweets to say that it's not particularly close.
01:01He's Wolves' best player by some margin. We said it in that first game of the season away at Arsenal that Wolves are over-reliant on Mateus Cunha.
01:09They were still timing that January transfer window – or that summer transfer window, sorry – to change that, and they didn't.
01:15Mateus Cunha is a fantastic player, but when he's not at it, Wolves really struggle.
01:20And he wasn't at it last night. His first touch was lacking. He looked slow. He looked tired running in behind.
01:29He complained that teammates threw his arms in the air, and his body language was poor from a player that has worn the armband this season when Nelson Simeone hasn't played.
01:38He's a leader and a captain, as Vito Pereira described in that dressing room. He's someone that should lead by example and is someone that the other players look up to.
01:48I don't think he carried himself in the right way last night in those particular circumstances.
01:53Vito Pereira was very strong on it after the game, maybe stronger than we expected, despite the fact he's been very strong on Mario Lamina, as you said before.
02:03He said, look, I don't like this body language. He can't continue to do this. We need him.
02:09He's a captain, he's a leader, and we need him to continue to carry this team through.
02:15Because at times he has single-handedly saved this side in certain games.
02:19He's single-handedly got them points, and very crucial points, in a very difficult relegation battle.
02:26So they need more from Mateus Cunha.
02:28One thing I will say is, as much as Vito Pereira was absolutely spot on in what he said last night, at the same time, the players, and Cunha perhaps, might not thank him for saying it so bluntly and so publicly.
02:40Pereira has fallen out with players in the past at different clubs over the years.
02:47And as much as I admire his honesty and appreciate his honesty, some of the players might not.
02:54So it's something you might have to find the balance with and maybe just be a little bit careful.
