00:00We have about six commutations in there where we're doing further research.
00:12Nice to see you again.
00:21So this is a big one.
00:24Anything you want to explain about this?
00:27We hope they come out tonight, frankly.
00:31We're expecting it.
00:36Approximately 1,500 people. Six commutations.
00:47Yes, sir. First, we have a list of pardons and commutations relating to events that occurred on January 6th, 2021.
00:54And how many people is this?
00:56I think this order will apply to approximately 1,500 people, sir.
01:00So this is January 6th, and these are the hostages.
01:05Approximately 1,500 for a pardon.
01:09Yes.
01:10Full pardon.
01:13Full pardon or commutation?
01:15Full pardon.
01:17We have about six commutations in there where we're doing further research.
01:23Nice to see you again.
01:32So this is a big one.
01:35Anything you want to explain about this?
01:38We hope they come out tonight, frankly.
01:42We're expecting it.
01:47Approximately 1,500 people.
01:50Six commutations.
01:53We're looking at different things, but the commutations would be the ones that we'll take a look at.
02:00Maybe it'll stay that way, or it'll go to a full pardon.
02:05And the order does require the Bureau of Prisons to act immediately on receipt of the pardons and commutation orders.
02:11Why don't we get that down so they can get them going right now?
02:15Yes, sir. Absolutely.
02:17This is a proclamation guaranteeing the state's protection against invasion based on the current crisis at the southern border.
02:24It invokes various executive powers relating to the ongoing invasion at the southern border.
02:36Mr. President, do I make it a coincidence that those are not going to be blocked by the courts?
02:41I don't think they will. I don't think they can be.
02:44They're very straight up.
02:46Why don't you take that and go over here? Can you get that one over here? Not on the side angle.
02:51Do you mind? Just go right over here with your friends.
02:55Sir, this is an executive order realigning the United States Refugee Admission Program
03:01to better align with American principles and American interests.
03:16Okay.
03:25Thank you, sir.
03:27This next executive order is about protecting America from foreign terrorists and other national security and public safety threats.
03:37Again, crisis at the border, but it goes beyond that. It implicates other executive powers as well.
03:42Okay.
03:51President Trump, if cartels are now going to be seen as foreign terror organizations,
03:56would you think about ordering U.S. Special Forces into Mexico to take them out?
04:01Could happen. Stranger things have happened.
04:07Mr. President, how would you make sure that Maduro would accept Venezuelans?
04:11Say it?
04:12How would you make sure that Maduro would accept Venezuelans?
04:15Well, we're going to see Venezuela. We're looking at Venezuela very strongly.
04:20It's a country I know very well for a lot of reasons, and it was a great country 20 years ago, and now it's a mess.
04:29Sir, can we expect ICE raids starting tomorrow in major cities?
04:33What does that mean?
04:34Can we expect ICE raids in major cities?
04:38I don't want to say when, but it's going to happen. It has to happen, or we're not going to have a country left.
04:43This is actually an executive order designating the cartels and other organizations to be foreign terrorist organizations.
04:50That's a big one.
04:52Yes, sir.
04:55People have wanted to do this for years, so they are now designated as terrorist organizations, foreign.
05:04And Mexico probably doesn't want that, but we have to do what's right.
05:13They're killing our people. They're killing 250,000, 300,000 American people a year.
05:19Not 100,000, like has been reported for 15 years. It's probably 300,000.
05:26So you're just saying Mexico doesn't want that? How are you going to deal with this?
05:31I don't know. You'll have to ask them.
05:33Sir, this is an executive order entitled Protecting the American People Against Invasion,
05:37which again deals with the southern border and the unprecedented mission of illegal aliens across the southern border.
05:49What do you see as the biggest national security threat to the U.S., Mr. President?
05:54What's going to be your priority on foreign policy?
05:57Say it.
05:58What's going to be your priority on foreign policy?
06:02Foreign policy is a big statement. I mean, my priority on foreign policy.
06:07It's going to be to keep America safe. Very simple.
06:12Somebody questioned that. That's a very big question.
06:19I've already been meeting people. I've been meeting them. I've been talking to them.
06:23I met with Prime Minister Trudeau, like all Governor Trudeau.
06:30I met with numerous foreign leaders.
06:34Go ahead.
06:35Sir, what might be a first step?
06:37This next order relates to the definition of birthright citizenship under the 14th Amendment of the United States.
06:43That's a good one. Birthright. That's a big one.
06:47What about that one in the court? That one might be.
06:50Could be. You think we have good grounds, but you could be right. I mean, you'll find out.
06:57It's ridiculous.
06:59We're the only country in the world that does this with birthright, as you know.
07:04And it's just absolutely ridiculous.
07:07But, you know, we'll see. We think we have very good grounds.
07:11People have wanted to do this for decades.
07:15Sir, this is a proclamation declaring a national emergency at the southern border of the United States.
07:21That's a big one. A lot of big ones, huh?
07:24You know what that means, right?
07:27President Trump, did President Biden leave you a letter?
07:31He may have.
07:34Don't they leave it in the desk?
07:38I don't know.
07:40Oh, thank you, Peter. It could have been years before we got it.
07:46Wow. Thank you.
07:48Can you read it on the outside?
07:50Maybe we should all read it together.
07:52Let's read it.
07:53Well, maybe I'll read it first and then make that determination.
07:56That sounds great.
07:58Peter, thank you very much. I may not have seen this for months.
08:01Have you had help with the passing of the torch?
08:04I did. I left him one in the desk.
08:08What are you talking about at the moment?
08:13Unification of our country.
08:16You know, I didn't know that he gave a pardon to his family
08:22because he did it during my speech.
08:24He didn't tell you in the letter?
08:26No, he didn't tell me. No, no.
08:28They released it during my speech. I mean, during my speech.
08:31So all I could do was say,
08:33excuse me, I'd like to come back and speak some more.
08:36Now I'm surprised about that.
08:39It's bad precedent, obviously.
08:42What are you thinking on Paris, on Mexico,
08:45given these actions you're signing on the border?
08:47Well, we're thinking in terms of 25% on Mexico and Canada
08:51because they're allowing vast numbers of people.
08:55Canada is a very bad abuser also.
08:58Vast numbers of people to come in and fentanyl to come in.
09:01When do you think you would enact those?
09:03I think February 1st.
09:05Are you planning on getting notice of that?
09:07I think we'll do it February 1st.
09:0925% on both, sir?
09:11On each.
09:12This is an executive order taking a large number of executive actions
09:16to secure our southern border.
09:19Sounds reasonable.
09:24President Trump, we remember four years ago,
09:27Barack Obama had told you that the top threat to the country
09:30was going to be North Korea.
09:31Did Joe Biden tell you what he thinks the top threat to the country is right now?
09:34No, no.
09:35Why not?
09:36I think we have a lot of them right now.
09:39I think we have a lot.
09:40I think North Korea turned out to be good.
09:43I was very friendly with him.
09:44He liked me. I liked him.
09:46We got along very well.
09:48They thought that was a tremendous threat.
09:51Now, he is of nuclear power.
09:53But we got along.
09:55I think you'll be happy to see him coming back.
09:58And?
09:59I think he has tremendous condo capabilities.
10:02He's got a lot of shoreline.
10:03Thank you, sir.
10:04Are you going to work with countries from South America
10:07to coordinate on immigration?
10:10About who?
10:11About immigration in general.
10:13This is an executive order.
10:15I'm fine with legal immigration.
10:17I like it.
10:18We need people.
10:20And I'm absolutely fine with it.
10:23We want to have it.
10:24We need it because we're going to have a lot of companies coming in
10:27to avoid tariffs.
10:28You know, if you don't want tariffs,
10:31all you have to do is build your plant in the U.S.
10:33So we're going to have a lot of workers coming in.
10:36But we have to have legal immigration.
10:38Do you have a date in mind for when you want to put him on the China tariffs?
10:42Which one?
10:45No.
10:46You're talking about which?
10:48Say it again.
10:49The China tariffs.
10:50Oh, China?
10:52Well, as you know, I put on large tariffs on China,
10:56and they've really been forced to leave them.
10:58And if we didn't leave them,
10:59you wouldn't have one steel mill that's open in this country
11:02because they were dumping massive amounts of steel.
11:04We've taken in hundreds of billions of dollars from China
11:07and they were unable to terminate the tariffs I put on China
11:13because it was too much money and the budgets didn't work,
11:16and other reasons, too.
11:18No.
11:19I mean, we're going to have meetings and calls with President Xi.
11:22I spoke to President Xi last week, as you know.
11:25Did you know that?
11:27I had a very good phone call.
11:29But you're talking with NATO at this moment.
11:31Are you planning to meet your NATO allies?
11:33No, NATO has to pay more money.
11:35NATO has to pay 5%.
11:37We are in the Ukraine war by $200 billion more than NATO.
11:43It's ridiculous because it affects them a lot more.
11:47We have an ocean in between.
11:49And we've spent $200 billion more on Ukraine than NATO has spent.
11:55And they've got to equalize.
11:57Let me talk to Xi about the Ukraine war.
12:01Because China and Brazil together
12:04has a proposal to bring Russia and Ukraine to talk.
12:08That's good. That's good. I'm ready.
12:11When are you going to talk with the Brazilian president?
12:13How did Brazil get involved?
12:15This is a new one.
12:17When are you going to talk to them?
12:18Are you from Brazil?
12:19I'm from Brazil.
12:20That's why they're involved, I guess.
12:22When are you going to talk with the Brazilian president?
12:25How do you see our relationship with Latin America and Brazil?
12:29Great. Should be great.
12:31They need us.
12:33Much more than we need them.
12:35We don't need them. They need us.
12:36Everybody needs us.
12:38Mr. President, it sounds like you will not receive an additional China tariff, necessarily,
12:43depending on how talks go with President Xi. Is that correct?
12:47What does that define that?
12:49Well, we are asking, you pledged in the campaign officially,
12:5210% tariff on China, or as much as you think.
12:54Because of fentanyl.
12:55Right. So I'm asking where you're—
12:57That's only because of fentanyl. There are other things, too.
13:00And a very big thing is the Panama Canal.
13:03China controls the Panama Canal. What's that all about?
13:07They're not supposed to be—
13:09When Jimmy Carter gave it, which was a terrible mistake, a terrible mistake,
13:14he didn't give it to China. He gave it to Panama.
13:18And China controls the Panama Canal.
13:21And we're not going to allow that to happen.
13:23Are they still on the table?
13:25No, we're not going to allow that to happen.
13:28Thank you, sir.
13:29What can we expect of the countries in NATO that spend the least amount of money,
13:33like Spain, France, below the 5%?
13:36Spain is very low.
13:39Are they a BRICS nation?
13:42What?
13:43They're a BRICS nation, Spain.
13:45You know what a BRICS nation is?
13:47You'll figure it out.
13:49But—and if the BRICS nations want to do that, that's okay.
13:54But we're going to put at least a 100% tariff on the business they do with the United States.
14:00You know what the BRICS is, right?
14:02You guys know.
14:03You know what I'm saying, right?
14:04You know what I'm saying.
14:07So, it's not even a threat.
14:09In fact, since I made that statement, Biden said, well, they have us over a barrel.
14:13I said, no, we have them over a barrel.
14:16And there's no way they're going to be able to do that.
14:20Are they risking a 100% tariff, those countries, like Spain?
14:25As a BRICS nation, yes.
14:27They'll have a 100% tariff if they so much as even think about doing what they thought.
14:32Can you explain how—
14:34Which—and therefore, they'll give it up immediately.
14:36So will China give it up.
14:37Sir, this is about reforming the system of hiring in the federal government
14:41to ensure that merit is the lodestar of hiring decisions.
14:44Oh, as per the Supreme Court.
14:46Yes, sir.
14:48Here's the big deal.
14:49Merit.
14:50Our country is going to be based on merit again.
14:54Can you believe it?
15:02Well, there's only half a day.
15:04I have another half a day left.
15:06We'll see.
15:07We want to get it done.
15:12Okay.
15:13That's a big one.
15:14Is Elon Musk going to get a West Wing office?
15:17No.
15:19He's getting an office for about 20 people that we're hiring
15:23to make sure that these get implemented.
15:26We have a problem in this country.
15:29You sign an executive order, it doesn't get done for six months.
15:32As an example, when we allow the J6 hostages to go out,
15:38it might not be approved.
15:41And under the old days, for two weeks, three weeks, six months,
15:46they had a good ruling from the Supreme Court,
15:49and it's like nothing happened.
15:51That ruling was six months ago.
15:52You know that.
15:54And it was like they didn't have a ruling.
15:56They've been treated very unfair.
15:58The judges have been absolutely brutal.
16:00The prosecutors have been brutal.
16:03Nobody has ever treated people in this country like that.
16:05Mr. President, are you commuting the sentences of anyone
16:08who assaulted a police officer on January 6th?
16:11Well, we're looking at two police officers, actually,
16:14Washington police officers, who went after an illegal.
16:18And things happened, and they ended up putting them in jail.
16:22They got five-year jail sentences.
16:24You know the case.
16:26And we're looking at that in order to give them a...
16:32We've got to give them a break.
16:33But it's a dependency in your actions today for anyone who assaulted...
16:36Well, it would be a pardon.
16:37That would be a pardon.
16:38The one I'm talking about would be a pardon.
16:40Should there be punishment for the people
16:42who assaulted law enforcement officers that day?
16:45Well, I will say this.
16:46They've been in jail for a long time already.
16:49I see murderers in this country get two years, one year,
16:52and maybe no time.
16:53So they've already been in jail for a long time.
16:56These people have been destroyed.
16:58What they've done to these people is outrageous.
17:02There's rarely been anything like it in history,
17:04in the history of our country.
17:07And even people that were aggressive, and in many cases,
17:12I believe they happened to be outside agitators.
17:14But, you know, what do I know, right?
17:17But I think they were.
17:18I think they were outside agitators.
17:19There were outside agitators involved.
17:22And obviously the FBI was involved
17:25because Ray admitted the FBI was involved.
17:29Didn't he say 23 people indirectly or directly
17:33were involved?
17:34And it was then 26.
17:35That's a lot of people.
17:37Now, we have...
17:39We've got to take care of...
17:41These people have been treated so badly.
17:43It's never happened before.
17:44What happened in Seattle
17:45where they took over a big portion of the city?
17:47What happened in Portland
17:51where they burned down the city every day
17:53and people died?
17:55Nothing happened to anybody.
17:57But they go after these people violently.
18:00I mean, they're still going after brand new people.
18:03They found somebody else with a picture.
18:05There's never been anything like this.
18:07And, you know, it's almost 100%.
18:10Think of this.
18:11Almost 100% of the people are convicted.
18:14100%.
18:16It's Washington, D.C.
18:19People go into a trial and they say,
18:22oh, I have a wonderful lawyer
18:23and I didn't do anything wrong.
18:25And they end up in shackles almost immediately
18:28and jail.
18:30Now, I can let it happen.
18:32About Greenland,
18:33you have shown interest in buying it,
18:35but is there any other option that would satisfy you?
18:39About what?
18:40Greenland, instead of buying it.
18:41Finland?
18:42Greenland.
18:43Oh, Greenland.
18:44Greenland is a wonderful place.
18:46We need it for international security.
18:49And I'm sure that Denmark will come along.
18:54I think it's costing them a lot of money to maintain it,
18:56to keep it.
18:58The people of Greenland are not happy with Denmark,
19:01you know.
19:02I think they're happy with us.
19:04We had representatives,
19:05my son had representatives,
19:06went up there two weeks ago.
19:08And they like us.
19:10So we'll see what happens.
19:11But Greenland is necessary,
19:12not for us,
19:13it's necessary for international security.
19:17You have Russian boats all over the place.
19:19You have China boats all over the place,
19:21warships.
19:23And they can't maintain it.
19:25Do you plan to meet President Putin, sir?
19:27Who?
19:28Do you plan to meet President Putin, sir?
19:31I'll be meeting with President Putin.
19:33When do you plan to meet?
19:34I don't know.
19:35I can't speak to that.
19:36Do you know what your first trip for example might be, sir?
19:39So first foreign trip typically has been with UK.
19:45But we did it,
19:46I did it with Saudi Arabia last time
19:48because they agreed to buy $450 billion worth of our product.
19:51I said, I'll do it.
19:53You have to buy American product.
19:55And they agreed to do that.
19:57They bought $450 billion.
19:59It was the least reported story I've ever been involved in.
20:02And now, where do you plan to go now?
20:04Well, I don't know.
20:05If Saudi Arabia wanted to buy another $450 or $500,
20:08we'll up it for all the inflation.
20:10Mr. President, you said you were going to end the war first day.
20:14How do you plan to end the Ukraine war?
20:16Well, we're going to try and get it done as quickly as possible.
20:19Do you want to push Israel and Saudi Arabia?
20:21It should have never started.
20:22The war with Ukraine and Russia should have never started.
20:25It would have never started if I were president.
20:27Will you push Israel and Saudi Arabia to normalize relations?
20:32I don't think I have to push them.
20:34I think it's going to happen, but maybe not quite yet.
20:36But they'll end up being in the accords, the Abraham Accords.
20:42President Trump, on-
20:43I think Saudi Arabia will end up being in the Abraham Accords.
20:47This year?
20:48Could be, but not in a very long way.
20:51Oh, look at that. It says TikTok.
20:53My, my, my, what is that all about?
20:55First, we have Alaska, sir.
20:57This is an executive order relating to unleashing Alaska's potential
21:01as an energy reservoir for the entire nation.
21:03And what about ANWR?
21:05I believe that would be included in aspects of the order.
21:07So we're opening up ANWR.
21:09On the TikTok piece, President Trump,
21:12you and your members of your team now
21:14used to warn about the dangers of TikTok spying on Americans.
21:18What changed that you're not worried about that anymore?
21:21Well, it depends on the deal.
21:23I mean, I may not do the deal, or I may do the deal.
21:26TikTok is worthless.
21:28Worthless.
21:30If I don't approve it, it has to close.
21:32I learned that from the people that own it.
21:34If I don't do the deal, it's worthless.
21:38Worth nothing.
21:39If I do the deal, it's worth maybe a trillion dollars.
21:42A trillion.
21:43So if I do the deal for the-
21:45I'm talking about doing it for the United States.
21:47If I do the deal for the United States,
21:49then I think we should get half.
21:52In other words, I think the U.S. should be entitled
21:56to get half of TikTok.
21:58And congratulations, TikTok has a good partner.
22:01And that would be worth-
22:04you know, it could be $500 billion or something.
22:07It's crazy. The numbers are crazy.
22:09But it's worthless if I don't-
22:11if the President doesn't sign, then it's worthless.
22:15If the President does sign, it's worth
22:17maybe a trillion dollars.
22:19So I think, like a joint venture,
22:22I think we would have a joint venture
22:24with the people from TikTok.
22:26We'll see what happens.
22:27I mean, that's one of many ideas I've heard.
22:30The CEO of TikTok, did he say that he's open to that idea?
22:33Who?
22:34The CEO of TikTok is around.
22:36Oh, I think he'd probably like it.
22:38Because he's got nothing.
22:40They really have nothing.
22:42It's passed in Congress.
22:44It gives the President the right to make a deal
22:47or to close it.
22:49And we have 90 days to make that decision.
22:52But I could see making a deal
22:54where the U.S. gets 50% of TikTok,
22:57polices it a little bit or a lot.
23:01Depends on them.
23:03But remember, they make telephones in China.
23:06They make all sorts of things in China.
23:08Nobody ever complains about that.
23:10Here they're complaining about this.
23:13There's so many different products made in China.
23:15Nobody ever complained about it.
23:17The only one they complain about is TikTok.
23:19And TikTok is largely young people.
23:21I guess I have a warm spot for TikTok
23:23that I didn't have originally.
23:25But I went on TikTok.
23:27And I won young people by 36%, Peter.
23:31And Republicans typically don't do too well with young people.
23:35But it's a different Republican Party.
23:37Would the U.S. government buy a portion of TikTok then?
23:41No, you'd take 50% of TikTok for the approval
23:46that TikTok could continue in business.
23:48And they'd have a great partner.
23:50The U.S. would be their partner.
23:52But the U.S. essentially would be paid
23:54for doing that half of the value of TikTok.
23:59Could be a lot.
24:01Tell you what, every rich person has called me about TikTok.
24:04You wanted to block TikTok.
24:06Why did it change your mind?
24:08Because I got to use it.
24:10And remember, TikTok is largely about kids.
24:13Young kids.
24:15If China is going to get information about young kids,
24:17I don't know.
24:19To be honest, I think we have bigger problems than that.
24:22But, you know, when you take a look at telephones
24:24that are made in China
24:26and all the other things that are made in China,
24:28military equipment made in China,
24:31TikTok...
24:33I think TikTok is not their biggest problem.
24:36But there's big value in TikTok if it gets approved.
24:39If it doesn't get approved, there's no value.
24:41So if we create that value,
24:43why aren't we entitled to, like, half?
24:48Does Biden ever do news conferences like this?
24:51How many news conferences, Peter, has he done like this?
24:54None.
24:57And it would be zero for the next...
25:00infinity.
25:02For infinity, it would be zero.
25:08No, no, no.
25:10Elon, no.
25:12Elon is very busy sending rocket ships
25:14up to various places
25:16with lots of satellites on them.
25:21Which one?
25:24Marco Rubio.
25:26You said Maco.
25:28Marco Rubio.
25:30Yeah, he's, uh... I think he's great.
25:32I think Marco is doing a fantastic job.
25:34I think he's gonna get a lot of votes.
25:36I think he's gonna be at 90% or something.
25:38I mean, I'm hearing very good people know him.
25:40They know him in the Senate. They know he's good.
25:42He's doing a good job. I don't know. I can't tell you.
25:44I don't know what's gonna happen with that.
25:46He's got some very strong ideas, though.
25:49Marco.
25:54Yeah.
25:57Just signed.
26:03Well, we're gonna find out about that, too.
26:05Because we're gonna probably stop buying oil
26:07from Venezuela. We don't need their oil.
26:11Well, it could be, but we don't want to buy it.
26:13We don't have to buy their oil.
26:15We have plenty of oil for ourselves.
26:17That'll change Venezuela quite a bit.
26:24Are you a dictator on the table?
26:26No. No.
26:28I can't imagine even being called that.
26:31No, I believe in the sanctity of the vote.
26:34The Democrats didn't, because they cheated like dogs.
26:37But I believe in the sanctity.
26:39And this was too big to rig.
26:41This last election was just too big to rig.
26:43Mr. President, when do you plan to speak to...
26:45Really the opposite.
26:47When do you plan to speak to President Putin?
26:49Could be very soon.
26:51You talked a bit about Ukraine and Russia,
26:53but how long do you think it would take
26:55to end that conflict?
26:57I have to speak to President Putin.
26:59We're gonna have to find out.
27:01He can't be thrilled. He's not doing so well.
27:03I mean, he's grinding it out,
27:05but most people thought that war would have been over
27:07in about one week.
27:09And now you're into three years, right?
27:11So he can't be thrilled.
27:13It's not making him look very good.
27:15Now, eventually, you know,
27:17I mean, it's a big machine, so...
27:19things will happen,
27:21but I think he'd be
27:23very well off to end that war.
27:25We have
27:27numbers that almost a million Russian
27:29soldiers have been killed.
27:31About 700,000 Ukrainian
27:33soldiers are killed.
27:35Russia's bigger. They have more soldiers
27:37to lose.
27:39But that's no way to run a country.
27:41What did your TikTok word
27:43do, Mr. President?
27:45It just gave me the right to sell it or close it.
27:47Essentially, with TikTok,
27:49I have the right to either sell it
27:51or close it.
27:53And we'll make that determination.
27:55And we may have to get an approval
27:57from China, too. I'm not sure.
27:59But I'm sure they'll approve it.
28:01And if they don't
28:03approve it, it would be somewhat of a hostile
28:05act, I think. But it's good
28:07for China if it gets approved.
28:09Mr. President, you're not guaranteeing
28:11that TikTok will be around after
28:1390 days from today? No, but it
28:15could very well be. It makes
28:17sense for it to be
28:19because it's got tremendous value.
28:21But if we create the value
28:23by approving, you know,
28:25in other words, that approval gives it tremendous value.
28:27If that's the case, then we should
28:29be entitled to 50 percent as a country.
28:31That's crazy. You haven't heard
28:33that one before, right? It's called the joint
28:35venture. And
28:37nobody ever thought
28:39that way. Over your border?
28:41Well, I don't know. I think it's — I think you
28:43have a lot of people that would be interested in
28:45TikTok with the United States as a partner.
28:47Mr. President, what was
28:49it like walking into the Oval Office
28:51this evening? Oh, what a great
28:53feeling. One of the
28:55better feelings I've ever had.
28:57Do you like this town better now
28:59than in 2017?
29:01Well, we're very experienced
29:03now.
29:05You would say nobody's ever had experience
29:07like I have. I've dealt
29:09with some very good people.
29:11I've dealt with some very bad people.
29:13And I know who the bad ones are and the good ones are.
29:15Don't forget, I was
29:17very successful in primarily the real
29:19estate business.
29:21And
29:23people used to say, who's worse,
29:25a politician or a
29:27vicious real estate developer?
29:29And I'd always say, you know,
29:31the real estate developer is far worse.
29:33But after about three months
29:35and getting to know scum like
29:37Adam Schiff and other people like that,
29:39I said, no, actually, real estate people
29:41are quite nice by comparison.
29:43You said you'd plan to
29:45speak with President Putin soon. What about
29:47President Zelensky and what's your message?
29:49He told me he wants to make
29:51a deal.
29:53Zelensky wants to make a deal.
29:55I don't know if Putin
29:57does. He might not.
29:59He should make a deal.
30:01I think he's destroying Russia
30:03by not making a deal.
30:05I think Russia's
30:07going to be in big trouble.
30:09You take a look at their economy, you take a look
30:11at the inflation in Russia.
30:13So I would hope
30:15I got along with him great and
30:17you know, I would
30:19hope he wants to make a deal.
30:21Mr. President, are you keeping U.S. sanctions on Russia
30:23until he makes a deal?
30:25Well, sanctions or tariffs. I think the word
30:27tariff is much better because it keeps your dollar
30:29stronger. I think tariffs
30:31are more effective. I use sanctions on
30:33Iran. Iran was broke.
30:35When I left office, Iran
30:37was broke. They had no money for
30:39Hamas or Hezbollah.
30:41None.
30:43They were flat broke.
30:45And October 7th would have never happened.
30:47And I think you
30:49all know that. It would have never happened.
30:51They had no money. Now they're
30:53rich, but you know, they're
30:55weakened in a different way. I would say
30:57that
30:59the one attack by Israel
31:01really set them back.
31:03It really set them back.
31:05The Pages and others.
31:07You know, the attack on air defense
31:09was a bad attack.
31:11What are you
31:13signing now? It's an executive
31:15order relating to reforms to the federal
31:17workforce, including to the senior executive
31:19services.
31:21We're getting rid of all of the cancer.
31:23I call it cancer.
31:25The cancer caused by
31:27the Biden administration.
31:29How confident
31:31How confident are you, Mr. President,
31:33that you can keep the ceasefire in Gaza
31:35and conclude the truce?
31:37I'm not confident. That's not our
31:39words. They're words.
31:41I'm not confident, but I think they're very weakened
31:43on the other side.
31:45Do you support the truce?
31:47I looked at a picture of Gaza. Gaza
31:49is like a massive
31:51demolition site. That place is
31:53it's really
31:55got to be rebuilt
31:57in a different way. Do you plan to help
31:59rebuilding Gaza?
32:01Gaza is interesting.
32:03It's a phenomenal location
32:05on the sea.
32:07The best weather.
32:09Everything's good.
32:11Some beautiful things could be
32:13done with it, but it's very
32:15interesting, but some
32:17fantastic things could be done
32:19with Gaza.
32:21How do you see the future in governance for Gaza?
32:23Well, it depends.
32:25I can't imagine you could have
32:27Well, you certainly can't have
32:29the people that were there. Most of them are dead
32:31by the way, right? Most of them are dead.
32:33But they didn't
32:35exactly run it well.
32:37Run viciously and badly.
32:39You can't
32:41have that.
32:43On TikTok, sir, do you
32:45pause any decision on Chinese tariffs
32:47until you know
32:49what the resolution on TikTok
32:51will be?
32:53If China didn't approve it, we could put tariffs
32:55on China. Don't forget.
32:57China
32:59charges us tariffs, and we charge
33:01them very little, except for what I did.
33:03I put a lot on. We took in hundreds of
33:05billions of dollars. But until I
33:07came along, China never
33:09paid 10 cents to this country. They ripped
33:11us off, and they never paid
33:13anything. But, like,
33:15if we wanted to make a deal with TikTok, and it
33:17was a good deal,
33:19and China wouldn't approve it, then
33:21I think ultimately
33:23they'd approve it, because we'd put
33:25tariffs on China. Maybe. I'm not
33:27saying I would, but you certainly could do that.
33:29And if we said,
33:31well, if you're not going to approve it,
33:33then that's a certain
33:35hostility, and we'll put tariffs of
33:3725, 30, 40, 50 percent,
33:39even 100 percent.
33:41And if we did that, I think they'd approve it.
33:43President Trump,
33:45you've seen the other leading presidents
33:47a couple times in the last few months.
33:49Have you ever had to call on one of them
33:51for advice about anything that's going on?
33:53Which one would you call?
33:55That's interesting. Well, I thought Bill Clinton was
33:57a very good politician.
33:59I don't think he was used properly.
34:01I think they disrespected him.
34:03When Hillary was running,
34:05he came back and he said, you know, you better get
34:07up to Michigan and Wisconsin.
34:09You remember that, Peter.
34:11Every house has a Trump sign on it.
34:13And they all laughed at him
34:15because the Republicans hadn't won
34:17Michigan or Wisconsin
34:19for decades,
34:21a long time.
34:23And they all laughed at Bill Clinton
34:25like, the hell does
34:27he know?
34:29And he turned out to be right because I won both
34:31of them. And then we just won both in this election
34:33too. We won Wisconsin
34:35and Michigan and every other swing state.
34:37We won all the swing states.
34:39All seven. They talked about seven
34:41swing states. We won them all.
34:43So, but I
34:45Bill Clinton was, he had a great
34:47political sense, I think.
34:49You looked like you were having a good conversation
34:51with President Obama.
34:53I was.
34:55And you'd like to know what else?
34:57Everybody wants to know.
34:59Everybody wants to know.
35:01I wouldn't want to know.
35:03But we were having some crazy conversations.
35:05About?
35:07Why are you asking a question like that?
35:09You know, I don't think you want to know.
35:11You might be
35:13insulted. It's an executive order relating
35:15to holding former government
35:17officials accountable for unlawful
35:19disclosure of sensitive information.
35:21This next one, sir, is a declaration of a national
35:23energy emergency.
35:25That's a big one.
35:27You know, if that allows you
35:29to do it, that means
35:31you can do whatever you have to do to get out of
35:33that problem. And we do have
35:35that kind of an emergency.
35:37President Trump,
35:39at some point will you use your
35:41powers of the presidency to tell
35:43Americans who are concerned about drones?
35:45Yeah.
35:47I will.
35:49In fact, I'd like to know
35:51because I just got here.
35:53What do you think?
35:55I just came here. I've been here for what?
35:5715 minutes now.
35:59And I got to read this letter
36:01too because of you. I found this letter.
36:03I can read it for you.
36:05It's interesting. Yeah, I knew you would.
36:07Your father would too.
36:09But is it
36:11anything?
36:13No, I think it's terrible.
36:15I would like to find out what it is and tell
36:17the people.
36:19In fact, I'd like to do that.
36:21Could we find out what that was, Susie?
36:23Okay.
36:25Yeah, why don't we find out immediately?
36:27I can't imagine
36:29it's an enemy or there would have been, you know,
36:31people would have gotten blown up all over.
36:33Maybe they were testing things.
36:35I don't know why they wouldn't have said what it was.
36:37They had a lot of them
36:39flying over Bedminster, which is interesting.
36:41And with the events
36:43today and yesterday,
36:45was everything moved inside just for cold weather
36:47or was there some kind of security?
36:49No, no, no. No security
36:51because they had everything shut down to
36:53drones. You know, you can shut that down pretty easily
36:55if you're sophisticated. They're very sophisticated,
36:57these people.
36:59No, it was just cold weather. And we made
37:01a good move because,
37:03first of all, I thought it was incredible in the Capitol
37:05today.
37:07You know why I liked it? Because I got great reviews
37:09on that speech. I got great reviews.
37:11Can you believe it? They actually were fair.
37:13Maybe the fake news is
37:15changing. Unleashing
37:17energy production.
37:21But I thought it was,
37:23I think having it in the Capitol
37:25is great. Obviously,
37:27you can take care of the people you have to
37:29take care of. The city was
37:31booming.
37:33And if we would have done it outside, people would have been hurt
37:35because it was really cold.
37:37You know, it was like, looks sunny.
37:39But when you stood
37:41outside for 10 minutes, people were running
37:43back in. It was really cold and really
37:45windy. The wind brings
37:47it down a lot.
37:49So we made the right decision. You couldn't
37:51have stayed. I don't think you could have had it out.
37:53You know how cold it was today.
37:55It was,
37:57people went out for a little while just to test it.
37:59They couldn't stay out more than 10 minutes.
38:01They all came back in. So we would
38:03have had a disaster if we did that. And people would
38:05have been hurt.
38:11Which one?
38:17No, I think it's just more general than that.
38:19It's not Hunter Biden.
38:23I was surprised
38:25that
38:27President Biden
38:29would
38:31go and
38:33pardon his whole family because that makes him look very guilty.
38:35You know, I could have pardoned my family.
38:37I could have pardoned myself, my family.
38:39I said, if I do that, it's going to make
38:41me look very guilty. I don't think I'd be sitting
38:43here, frankly. If I did that, I don't think I'd
38:45be sitting here right now because
38:47I would have
38:49shown that you're guilty.
38:51But by
38:53pardoning his brother or brothers, by
38:55pardoning all of those people that he pardoned,
38:57by pardoning J6,
38:59the unselect committee,
39:01they destroyed all of the
39:03documents. They
39:05deleted all of the information.
39:07There's no information.
39:09And a lot of the information pertains
39:11to Nancy Pelosi because she was
39:13given 100...
39:15I mean, you know this. It's on tape
39:17with her daughter.
39:19Nancy Pelosi was
39:21responsible for not taking
39:23advantage of
39:2510,000 soldiers or 1,000.
39:27You could have used 400.
39:29It was a relatively small crowd.
39:31It wasn't the crowd that was at
39:33the mall. It was a small crowd.
39:35So
39:37I was a little
39:39bit surprised that he did it because it
39:41makes him look guilty. I mean, he's going to have to
39:43live with it. Now, with that being said,
39:45it's unbelievable
39:47precedent it creates for
39:49a president.
39:51But the precedent is
39:53unbelievable. Now maybe every
39:55president that leaves office, they're going to pardon
39:57every person they ever met
39:59so they don't have some lunatic like
40:01deranged Jack Smith,
40:03who's a total lunatic, by the way.
40:05Not a smart guy. He's a dummy.
40:07But we beat the hell out of
40:09him.
40:11And I helped my reputation.
40:13Do you think you'd have to do the same thing at the end of this term?
40:15Well, I guess now I have precedent
40:17to do it. I don't... I wouldn't want
40:19to do that, no. I think it makes you look very
40:21guilty. I think it makes Biden
40:23look very bad, very weak, and
40:25very guilty.
40:27And...
40:29I mean, he pardoned everybody.
40:31How about this J6 committee?
40:33Why is he pardoning them?
40:35The reason is because
40:37if you delete and destroy
40:39documentation,
40:41everything,
40:43they have nothing, because they
40:45were guilty as hell.
40:47They rigged it. It was a rigged deal.
40:49And when you do that,
40:51they look very bad.
40:53But I was a little
40:55surprised he did it. Liz Cheney,
40:57I mean, she's a lunatic.
40:59And she lost
41:01by the greatest margin in the history
41:03of a politician
41:05running for Congress.
41:07Like 40 points.
41:09The reason it was the greatest is because
41:11anybody losing that badly is going to
41:13drop out. But she's a nutjob.
41:15She doesn't drop out. You know, she just keeps
41:17chugging forward. And she lost
41:19by almost 40 points. That's the biggest
41:21number anybody's ever lost by.
41:23But why would
41:25Biden do that? He
41:27pardoned her, and pardoned everybody.
41:29The reason is that they
41:31destroy documents.
41:33And if you're even in a
41:35civil case, which this wouldn't be,
41:37I mean, people go to jail
41:39for a long time for doing that.
41:41What's this one?
41:43That's Unleashing American Energy, sir.
41:45It relates to easing permitting processes
41:47and other regulatory systems
41:49to ensure that we can produce
41:51energy efficiently to drive the American economy
41:53forward.
41:55Looking around the office, we noticed
41:57some changes in the way that Biden has
41:59set up. Can you confirm
42:01that you have added back the Diet Coke
42:03bottle?
42:05I think this
42:07we
42:09first of all, I just got here.
42:11So my people came in. They have
42:13extraordinary decorator sense, right?
42:15Let me just see some of the pictures.
42:17That's a good one.
42:19I could live with him.
42:21I can live with George Washington, I can
42:23tell you. I can live with Thomas
42:25Jefferson. I can live with most of them.
42:27They took a very safe route.
42:29They don't have any bad
42:31ones up there.
42:33Withdrawing from the World Health
42:35Organization, sir?
42:37That's a big one.
42:39So we paid $500 million
42:41to World Health when I was here.
42:43And I terminated it.
42:45China with 1.4
42:47billion people.
42:49We have 350.
42:51Nobody knows what we have because so many people
42:53came in illegally, but let's say we have
42:55325.
42:57They had 1.4
42:59billion. They were paying
43:0139 million. We were paying 500 million.
43:03It seemed a little
43:05unfair to me.
43:07So that wasn't the reason, but I dropped out.
43:09They offered me to come back
43:11for 39 million. In theory, it should
43:13be less than that, but, you know.
43:15And
43:17when Biden came back, they came back for
43:19500 million. He knew that
43:21you could have come back
43:23for 39 million. They wanted
43:25us back so badly. So we'll see what
43:27happens.
43:29Pretty sad, though. Think of it.
43:31China pays
43:3339 million, and we pay
43:35500 million. And China
43:37is a bigger country.
43:39Mr. President, you spoke about
43:41inflation today in your remarks.
43:43What actions are you taking
43:45today that will have a direct
43:47impact for Americans on their
43:49everyday costs to bring costs
43:51down? The biggest thing and factor
43:53for inflation is energy.
43:55They screwed up my energy
43:57policy, and
43:59then they went back to it.
44:01They hurt it really badly,
44:03and then they went back to it, and they started
44:05drilling more, but by that time, it was too late.
44:07Many of
44:09these things that we're signing and that
44:11Doug Burgum is going to be signing
44:13and Chris Wright was phenomenal
44:15at, you know, energy, Department of Energy.
44:17We're going to be taking a lot.
44:19We're going to make a lot of money from energy.
44:21We have more than anybody else.
44:23We're going to make a lot of money from energy. We're going to make a lot of
44:25money from tariffs. You know, European
44:27Union judges us. They have a VAT tax
44:29of 20%, but
44:31it's really much higher than that.
44:33And that's the equivalent, almost
44:35the equivalent of a tariff.
44:37And
44:39they're tough. They're very tough.
44:41They don't take our cars.
44:43They don't take our farm product.
44:45They don't take almost anything.
44:47And yet, we take their cars,
44:49and we take their farm product.
44:51We take a lot from them. So, you
44:53know, we have like a $300 billion
44:55deficit with the European Union.
44:57We'll straighten that out with either tariffs
44:59or they have to buy our oil.
45:01The one thing they can do, well, I guess,
45:03the one thing they can do to catch up
45:05quickly, buy our oil and
45:07gas. And they should
45:09do that. Were you traveling to China this year?
45:11Yeah, I could be.
45:13I've had the invite.
45:15President Xi invited you to come this year.
45:17Talking about the European Union
45:19and the tariffs, like,
45:21what do you mean when you say that the European Union
45:23conflict is part of BRICS?
45:25That are what?
45:27BRICS. Oh, BRICS.
45:29No, I was talking about BRICS. BRICS is six nations.
45:31I think it's seven nations.
45:33And they were looking to do
45:35a number in the United States. And if they
45:37do that,
45:39they won't be happy about what's
45:41going to happen to them.
45:43Are you still considering a universal
45:45tariff, Mr. President, on all countries?
45:47I may. Yeah, but we're not ready for
45:49that yet. We may put it
45:51rapid.
45:53Because, essentially, all countries
45:55take advantage of the U.S.
45:57We don't make any
45:59good deals in the U.S. It's amazing
46:01in a way that we exist.
46:03We don't make good deals. We don't have any
46:05good deals.
46:07We have a deficit with almost
46:09— not all. There are a couple. I won't tell you their
46:11names because I don't want them to
46:13find out about it because they'll feel stupid.
46:15But there are a couple of countries that
46:17— there are a couple
46:19of countries that actually
46:21don't make money with us.
46:23But I don't want to let
46:25you know because they'll immediately
46:27change their head.
46:29But we're going to do —
46:31I tell you, we have — our country
46:33has an amazing economic future.
46:35I really believe in it.
46:37What kind of universal tariff?
46:39Well, you put a universal tariff on anybody
46:41doing business in the United States
46:43because they're coming in and they're stealing
46:45our wealth, they're stealing our jobs, they're stealing
46:47our companies, they're hurting
46:49our companies.
46:51So you put a tariff on
46:53to keep them from doing that.
46:55Mr. President, you surrounded yourself with a whole bunch of billionaires
46:57today. The President's body has been
46:59in his paraphernalia for about an hour.
47:01I'm wondering if you can respond to that.
47:03Well, he was — he had a lot
47:05of guys.
47:07And then they found out that he didn't know what the hell
47:09he was talking about, and I think they deserted him.
47:11They deserted him.
47:13Those same guys.
47:15Look, I don't
47:17make pretense of smart guys.
47:19But there are a lot of smart people around.
47:21But they did desert him. They were all with him, every one of them.
47:23Now they're all with me. I don't know.
47:25It's not going to get anything from me.
47:27I don't need money.
47:29But I do want the nation to do well.
47:31And they're smart people. And they have —
47:33you know, they create a lot of jobs.
47:35And if they don't do it, China's going to do it.
47:37You know, what they've done
47:39is they've taken industries
47:41and they've taken it away.
47:43They outsmarted China.
47:45And, you know,
47:47we sort of like that. It's okay.
47:49They've done a great job. A lot of them. It's not all of them.
47:51It's about protecting women
47:53from radical gender ideologies.
47:55Mr. President,
47:57going back to the World Health Organization,
47:59you were the president during COVID.
48:01Don't you see the importance of an organization
48:03like that to coordinate a global response?
48:05Sure, I do.
48:07But not when you're being ripped off
48:09like we are by the World Health.
48:11World Health ripped us off.
48:13Everybody rips off
48:15the United States.
48:17And that's it. It's not going to happen anymore.
48:19Thank you very much, everybody.
