00:14The former NBA star DeMarcus Cousins will play in the Philippines for the second time as an import

00:21after helping to win the Zamboanga Valientes championship in the Asian Tournament last August.

00:28This year, in 2025, the 6'10 NBA veteran will play under the strong group Athletics

00:35in the Dubai International Basketball Tournament.

00:38At the age of 34, who has more than 12 years of experience in the NBA and 4 All-Star selections,

00:45Cousins is just enjoying playing abroad in the so-called twilight of his career.

00:52In the difficult practice sessions this weekend,

00:55Cousins gave the possibility to play abroad in the country professionally.

01:23We've come here, we've competed for the last 3-4 days.

01:27We've gotten better with each day.

01:29Our intentions and goals are to win the championship in Dubai and we're working towards that.

01:35Aside from trying out pro basketball leagues in different places,

01:39he's also happy to share his extensive experience with the newer generation of players.

01:47You know, I got called old the other day and it kind of bothered me.

01:50But it kind of put things into perspective for me.

01:52So, you know, I am on the other side of things.

01:55I'm now that veteran guy on most teams that I joined.

01:59So, you know, I'm enjoying the experience.

02:02I'm enjoying the role.

02:04I always enjoy just passing around knowledge and teaching guys under me.

02:08So, that's something that I always crave as a young player.

02:11So, it's my responsibility to do the same and give back.
