00:00And at this point, let's discuss the update on the programs of the current administration here in Mr. President on the go.

00:22First of all, fellow countrymen, President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr., not only does Tesla manufacture electric vehicles here in our country,

00:32this is also a follow-up to the Philippines' initiatives to adopt a Sustainable Development Transport System through the reduction of carbon emissions.

00:41In the message of President Marcos, Jr. on the launching of the Tesla Center Philippines,

00:47aside from helping with environmental sustainability, Tesla also helps strengthen the local workforce.

00:56According to our President, Tesla is building a generation of Filipinos who are one step ahead in the shift of sustainable technology.

01:06Every Filipino will be able to work on an investment in Filipino talent that will contribute to this transition.

01:13And the President is eager to have Tesla manufacture vehicles here in the Philippines one day.

01:21If we recall, in September, the State-of-the-Art Facility produced advanced iron phosphate batteries that are needed for electric vehicles manufacturing.

01:34President Marcos, Jr. is also positive that many companies will take advantage of the opportunity to strengthen this sector in the coming years.

01:42President Marcos, Jr. also said that the introduction of Tesla in the country will encourage local innovation and other investments in the EV sector.

01:52In support of the government, he adopted the current administration of policies and strategic measures in line with the commitment of the government to strengthen

02:02sustainable transportation while also addressing the needs of Filipino commuters.

02:08He also adopted the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion, a trained act that will reduce the excise taxes on the battery of electric vehicles.

02:16He also adopted the Electric Vehicle Industry Development Act, or EVIDA, which offers duty-free importation for charging stations,

02:23reduces user fees for EV owners, and gives priority to registration and traffic privileges.
