00:29thing that you look at a guy like Gibbs who had 20 touchdowns and a lot more receptions you can
00:33make the case you'd rather have Gibbs but Barkley was Mr. Consistent 15 touchdowns on the season
00:40and he reinvented his career he was not somebody that I even considered taking this season George
00:48just because I didn't know what it would be I mean when a guy is not as good as he looked early on
00:53his career and he's a running back you don't know when they turn 28 29 what they're going to be in
00:57the future clearly Barkley's at the top of his game and by the way who stopped Barkley all season
01:02long no one well the Eagles stopped Barkley right well they didn't play in week 18 to go for the
01:08record they stopped Barkley uh he would have got uh listen if they would have played him
01:13those two giant games killed him because remember he took himself out the fourth quarter of the
01:16first giant game when he was rushing like nine million yards right you played against those
01:20games he would have had the record here uh no problem with the Barkley pick love uh the season
01:24he had here I chose Jamar Chase mainly because I remember the reason I didn't take him in a league
01:28or two remember the contract squabble that was going on right before the season started right
01:33during draft time right all right so that and he had to put up the points he did because I stayed
01:37away from him Craig for that reason I'm like what if he does hold out a week or two to try and uh
01:42make a statement here all right I'll go we'll take Jefferson or we'll take uh C.D. Lamb so I
01:46stayed away from him uh so Jamar Chase fantastic yeah I have no problem with the Barkley selection
01:50they're both great I almost went off the board here Craig because depending on how your definition
01:55is these guys did what I thought they were going to do if Hubbard would have played week 17 I would
02:01have chosen Joe Hubbard for this award that's how good he was but since he missed week 17 missed
