00:07have been declared drug-cleared.
00:09This is based on the latest data from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-6
00:13on the continued focus on the barangay drug-clearing program.
00:16For now, there are only 264 barangays in the region that are still affected by illegal drugs.
00:21These are the barangays in Bacolod and Iloilo City,
00:23Provincia de Capiz, Negros Occidental, and Provincia de Iloilo.
00:27PIDEA-6 spokesperson Maria Graciela Tanalion admitted
00:30that even though only a few barangays in the region are affected,
00:33there are still many trials that need to be completed
00:35for them to be declared drug-cleared.
00:36This is the presence of those pushing the community
00:39to newly identify drug personalities
00:41and programs for rehabilitation such as Balay Silangan.
00:44But with the help of members of the Regional Oversight Committee
00:47on Illegal Drugs and Stakeholders,
00:49PIDEA-6 is positive about the concerns of the remaining barangays in the region
00:52regarding illegal drugs.
