00:00Some officials of the Department of Health visited hospitals in Manila

00:04aside from the cases of victims of fire or road accidents during the New Year celebration.

00:11The cases of communicable and non-communicable diseases were also closely monitored.

00:28The Department of Health visited the Philippine General Hospital, Manila Doctors' Hospital and Tondo Medical Center.

00:37According to the Philippine General Hospital, as of January 2, 2025, 17 were the victims of the fire.

00:4515 were male and 2 were female.

00:497 of them were children and 10 were adults.

00:52Most of them were blind.

00:55Most of them were diagnosed with Quetiza, Syndrome Hudasa, Five Star and Triangulo.

01:01This is higher than the 13 cases reported in 2023.

01:06The reported road traffic injuries of the hospital in 2024 were also higher than in 2023.

01:13The hospital also monitors communicable and non-communicable diseases this holiday season.

01:19The reported bronchial asthma cases of the hospital in 2024 were higher than in 2023.

01:26The acute coronary syndrome was also higher.

01:29The reported stroke of the hospital in 2024 was slightly lower than in 2023.

01:36Maybe it's very important for the Department of Health to focus on prevention and health promotion, disease control.

01:59In Tondo Medical Center, the reported firework-related injuries were 46

02:08In road traffic injuries, we will help different agencies.

02:13There's PNP, MMDA, DPWH, sometimes it's just street lighting, sometimes it happens at night.

02:24According to the Bureau of Fire Protection,

02:27the reported fire incidents related to firecrackers this year are lower than last year.

02:34The government continues to remind the public to maintain a healthy body

02:39and to be careful and alert when driving to avoid accidents.
