00:00I think, not surprisingly, there are a huge number of artists who want to do what they can to help L.A.
00:08recover from these wildfires, and there is a benefit concert that is scheduled right now for January 30th,
00:14and it's going down. The announcement was that it was going to be at the Intuit Dome,
00:18but we actually broke a story last night that the event has gotten so big, they've had to expand,
00:24and they have dozens of artists who are, in fact, more artists than they have time for the show.
00:31They have more than 50 artists who want to participate. They have 24 slots right now,
00:35so what they're going to end up doing is not only having it at the Intuit Dome,
00:39but they're going to have it simultaneously going on at the forum, the Kia Forum in Inglewood.
00:44Just a few blocks up the road.
00:46So this is going to be a huge event, and what we're told is the artists who are going to perform,
00:52we don't know the names yet, but they're people who have roots in Los Angeles.
00:57All of them, either artists or bands, all have roots in this city.
01:02So this is all very personal for them.
01:05I'm just curious, why don't they just do multiple concerts if they have so many artists that want to be a part of it?
01:11It's like, why don't they just do multiple venues?
01:15It waters both down. You want the bang for your buck.
01:18You want that one event where you're going to get the most people, not only in L.A.,
01:21but around the country, around the world, watching this thing.
01:24It is going to be simulcast on the Internet, and it's all to get people to donate to the relief effort.
01:31And by the way, the Eagles are leading the charge. They've already donated $2.5 million for this.
01:36OK, Shelly Winters, North Carolina.
01:38I think that Firewood is a perfect blend of local pride, music, and philanthropy coming together.
01:44As you said, the Eagles donating $2.5 million is a wonderful place to start.
01:49With their Hotel California, I'm sure it will have a new meaning for so many people that are surviving this fire.
01:55I just hope that the people that are participating and donating in terms of the artistry,
01:59they will not be mislabeled as disaster musicians who are just trying to help in this pivotal time.
02:06By the way, they're donating their time. They're not getting paid for these artists to do this.
02:11This is all for charity.
02:13Have you ever seen The Poseidon Adventure?
02:15Yes, I have.
02:16Yes, she's aware.
02:18Was that the inspiration for the name?
02:20Yes, it was. And I have two older sisters. I said, Mom, really, me? I get stuck with the tanks.
02:25Wow.
02:26I do it well.
02:27All right. Yes, you do.
