00:00Moray is a small plates restaurant with two venues in the city serving up food inspired
00:05by the flavours of the Middle East. We've been to their dockside location to see what
00:09they've got cooking for Veganuary.
00:12Parents of their older children who might already come here and they're like oh we didn't
00:18really think about vegetarian food much and you know what they often surprise themselves
00:23because obviously we've got a wide selection. It's the biggest part of our menu.
00:28Moray have kindly cooked me up some dishes to enjoy for myself. I've got the oyster mushroom
00:34shawarma. Now this is topped with some crispy kale and their homemade chilli crunch. Oh
00:41wow that homemade chilli crunch. I don't know if you can see it on top there but it's got
00:47a great spice to it. It's not too hot if you're afraid of spice you shouldn't be worried.
00:52Dishes that come on the menu in our autumn menu change which is a mushroom shawarma and
00:56we've got our own shawarma spice blend that we make in-house and the mushrooms are then
01:01fried with onions a bit of the spice blend. We actually throw crispy onions in towards
01:06the end and it's served on a vegan vegan tati.
01:10Now we've got Moray's famous disco collie. Wow just get a load of that. Those pomegranates
01:19on top are just like jewels and let me tell you if you've never tasted this before you
01:25might be thinking can a cauliflower really be that good and I'm telling you yes it can be.
01:36The disco cauliflower yeah it's been a Moray staple our hero dish for the best part of
01:44a decade now. It gets dressed with four different sauces that we make in-house. It's got nuts
01:49which is like almonds. It's got fresh pomegranate seeds. It's got fresh herbs. So yeah it does
01:55a lot going on but it just all comes together.
