00:00A bill is being pushed to the Senate to reduce the number of adolescent pregnancies in the country.

00:07But their group has a grudge against this.

00:10Daniel Manalastas has the details.

00:15In the first session of the Senate for this year,

00:18some bills were passed by the Senators.

00:21The third and final reading of the Senate passed the Safe Spaces Act,

00:26or Senate Bill No. 2897.

00:29Twenty-three Senators voted in favor of the bill.

00:32According to Senator Grace, the bill will help fight sexual harassment.

00:37It helps ensure that sexual harassment does not occur in environments

00:42where individuals expect respect such as public spaces,

00:47workplaces, educational settings, or online platforms.

00:51Meanwhile, Senate Bill 2825, or FIVOX Modernization Act,

00:56also passed the third reading of the Senate.

00:58Senator Jowel Villanueva gave a warning to pass the bill.

01:03The importance of FIVOX is also given,

01:06especially in terms of the use and technology

01:09to provide more effective information to the public.

01:13The FIVOX is equipped with the equipment, technology, and personnel

01:18needed for timely and accurate disaster data collection.

01:21With this measure, Mr. President, the capacity of FIVOX will be strengthened

01:25to expand their monitoring network, enhance their research.

01:29Meanwhile, the third reading of the Senate passed the new term of office

01:33for the barangay officials and members of the Sangguni Ang Kabataan.
