00:00Several important bills have been approved in the last reading of the Senate.

00:04Among them is the bill that will help fight sexual harassment.

00:10Daniel Manalastas is in the center of the news.

00:15In the first session of the Senate for this year,

00:17several bills were passed by the Senators.

00:20The third and final reading of the Senate is the Safe Spaces Act

00:25or Senate Bill No. 2897.

00:28Twenty-three Senators voted in favor of the bill.

00:31According to Senator Grace Poe,

00:33the bill will help fight sexual harassment.

00:36It helps ensure that sexual harassment does not occur in environments

00:41where individuals expect respect such as public spaces,

00:46workplaces, educational settings, or online platforms.

00:51Meanwhile, the third reading of the Senate is Senate Bill 2825

00:55or FIVOX Modernization Act.

00:57Senator Jowel Villanueva gave the opportunity to pass the bill.

01:02The importance of FIVOX, especially in terms of its use and technology,

01:08is to provide more effective information to the public.

01:12FIVOX is equipped with the equipment, technology, and personnel

01:17needed for timely and accurate disaster data collection.

01:20With this measure, Mr. President, the capacity of FIVOX

01:23would be strengthened to expand their monitoring network,

01:26enhance their research.

01:28Meanwhile, the third reading of the Senate is the new term of office

01:33for barangay officials and members of the Sangguni Ang Kabataan.
