A Bedfordshire Police patrol sergeant was dispatched to find a vehicle seen driving dangerously by council CCTV operatives.
When the officer stopped the vehicle and asked the driver to turn off the ignition, he instead sped off. A vehicle and foot chase ensued.
He has since pleaded guilty to failing to provide specimen for analysis while in custody and will be sentenced next month.
