A Doncaster drug dealer who drove a stolen vehicle recklessly down narrow streets before being apprehended by pursuing officers has been jailed for three-and-a-half years.

While on mobile patrol in Wath-upon-Dearne in Rotherham, an officer's attention was drawn to a Ford Fiesta suspected of displaying false number plates.

After following the car to a garage, Ryan Nisbet, who was driving the vehicle at the time, made off at speed.

He ignored calls to pull over and instead led officers on a 70mph pursuit down a 30mph road. Nisbet also drove 50mph down a narrow street with parked cars before crashing the vehicle and trying to escape on foot.
