00:00I think you know coach kind of touched on it this morning
00:03And it life just goes on like regardless of what's happening like Maryland's not gonna play any different because of what we're dealing with at
00:09Home so kind of just having that and I think we're also just playing with that in the back of our minds and like understanding
00:15We want to come here and also also make a statement and not just coming for no reason
00:19So I think for us the main thing today was just getting a dub and we did that
00:22I got a really nice text from our director of marketing at home saying
00:28That your team provided us a good two hours of not thinking about kind of what's going on
00:33And I think without really knowing it. That's what this team does, right?
00:36We we have a perspective that basketball isn't everything but when these 40 minutes are in front of us that it's everything to us in
00:42That moment
00:42I think that gives people maybe a sense of being able to take their mind off harder things and and have some joy
00:50Lindsay you can talk and plan about the Big Ten schedule and having all these games 3,000 miles away
00:56But it's another thing to actually do it
00:58So now that you've actually done it you did the one-off with the Connecticut
01:01I guess how different was the reality compared to your expectations? I
01:07Mean we're still learning it
01:08I'm learning the rhythm of it of a new conference in terms of you know
01:12The Pac-12 was two games in a weekend a Friday Sunday and everyone's doing the same thing and everything now
01:16We're like wait who's playing who when and they played Iowa here and it just it's really different for us
01:21And so as coaches we're trying to process all that and keep things as normalized for the team as possible
01:25So I'm keeping them on a schedule of what it looks like typically
01:29Look, this is a great platform
01:31Rutgers was, you know sold out to see women's basketball and in our you know, our players from the West Coast
01:36This was a great crowd. We had 2,000 people cheering for us as we walked off
01:40So it's just platforms for them that we have never had before and that's a really positive thing and it's up to us and my
01:46Administration and me to make it as seamless as possible for them and allow them to be happy healthy student-athletes
01:51You know during it all but we'll go anywhere and play and I think our players
01:55You
