00:00I have spoken to over 2,000 elders like Betty at one of the most challenging and
00:06confronting times of their lifetime. Having to make a decision to leave the
00:12comfort and familiarity of the home would have to be the toughest decision a
00:17person makes in their lifetime. Would you agree? I have to tell you most of them
00:26were living through their last thousand days. Even during this time they didn't
00:35want to feel like a burden on their families. And you know the one thing, the
00:42one thing they all wanted the most, they craved a sense of connection. Spending
00:52time with their loved ones and feeling close to them. That's what they missed
00:58the most. Remembering how heartbroken my grandma was when I left. That was a
01:06display of how meaningful our connection is. Connection is powerful. Connection is
01:15essential. Having a connection is beautiful. It is grounding. Just like my
01:23son's eyes light up with every birth time story, I have seen the same curiosity
01:29light up the eyes of these elders when they are with their families.
