00:00Well I'm in one of the worst hit areas of LA. This is still cut off to residents deemed
00:07too unsafe to return. And just take a look around and see the destruction here. This
00:14entire street has been wiped out. We've got car body here. The engine has been completely
00:21melted. The metal has been melted and is now reset. The death toll is continuing to rise
00:29for obvious reasons. There is a delay in deaths being recorded. Rescue crews have to
00:36be able to get through into these neighbourhoods to be able to sweep homes. But also this is
00:43still very much an active disaster where those support crews are needed in other areas. Today
00:51authorities are saying that they do expect the number to continue rising with people
00:58still missing. And looting is becoming more and more of a problem. The National Guard,
01:05hundreds of troops are stationed just down the hill from where we are on the Pacific Coastal
01:11Highway trying to stop anyone from getting through roadblocks. There have been reports
01:18of people dressing up as firefighters, impersonating fire crews to get into these
01:24affected neighbourhoods and then burgle homes. Police today warning people that they will be
01:30caught if they attempt it.
