00:00It's a good start of the year for the number one team in PBA Commissioner's Cup Season 49, Northport Batangpierre.

00:14It seems like there's no stopping Northport Batangpierre's momentum in the continuing season 49 PBA Commissioner's Cup.

00:23They are leading in the standings of the conference with a record of 7 wins and 1 loss.

00:31The head coach of the team, Bonitan, admitted that he was surprised by the pace of their campaign.

00:39Before the start of the conference, our objective was to get to the quarter finals.

00:46So now, we're discussing also to lessen the pressure.

00:50Although we're on top right now, our target is the best of three.

00:55So that if we don't achieve the top position in the standings, at least we're in the middle of the best of three.

01:04So after the best of three, we'll talk about the prize to beat.

01:10Last Wednesday night, Northport defeated Barangay Ginebra San Miguel 119 to 116.

01:16This was their first win against the Genkings in five years.

01:21According to Coach Bonitan, this proves that he is one of the real title contenders in this year's Commissioner's Cup.

01:29Everyone's questioning about the top 20.

01:33I hope that with this win, we prove that we're here to win games.

01:43We're here to be competitive.

01:49For the Swingman, Joshua Munzon, they're only focusing on one game at a time mentality.

01:55We don't want to go too far ahead.

01:57Like I said, we just want to focus on our next game.

02:01I know our next game is back-to-back almost.

02:04We're at 13, 14, and 16.

02:07So I know that's going to be a pretty tough back-to-back for us.

02:24Because they will face Meral Koboltz.
