00:00Hi, I'm Ross Olive. I live on Clifton Station in the CQ area. We run a Brahman operation called
00:06Olive Brahmans and we run around four and a half thousand to five thousand head of cattle
00:12running on 65,000 acres. We started introducing helicopters slowly on some of the bigger paddocks
00:19and then realised that we can use them more efficiently with olden paddocks and laneways
00:24to reduce staff cost and ease of cattle management. Some of the cattle can be a little
00:30bit disrupted or a little bit heated coming in but we settle them down and walk them back
00:35out of laneways or up fences and because what we are trying to do is reduce staff numbers
00:41and we only have two or three of us bringing the cattle home and then working them through
00:46the cattle yards with two or three of us. That's pretty much why we use helicopters.
00:51We still use horses and we do a lot of bikes and buggies as well.
