00:00This is ranked up there as one of the most exciting things we've found. The stone coffin
00:22is amazing, the archaeological work they're doing to look at it and explore it and find
00:28all the detail about it is really excellent. So as part of our archaeology process we do
00:33initial trial pits and we found some quite exciting archaeology whilst we were doing
00:36those trial pits. So we've always known there's some good archaeology on site, but finding
00:41the stone coffin there was extremely exciting. Archaeology is really important here at National
00:47Highways. We believe we have a commitment to understanding exactly what's in the area.
00:53We monitor this and review this very, very closely with our road schemes, but we think
00:59it's very important to capture information, that history as its connections to our past,
01:03and it's really important to forward that information to other generations. Wandsford
01:09obviously is quite special having found a small rural cemetery and at the centre of
01:14this small rural cemetery a stone coffin with a plaster burial. It's not a very common
01:19burial practice outside of urban centres, so it's very exciting for us. But also to
01:25be able to get that information out to places where people are accessing information, online
01:30videos and making it accessible for more people is really important to be able to share our
01:38discoveries with the public.
