00:35the Philippine Football Federation gave a send-off on Tuesday for our Philippine Women's National Futsal Team.

00:44Here, the PFF announced that our futsal squad will be under

00:48their newest Spanish head coach, Rafa Merino Rodriguez.

00:53Rodriguez holds the credentials of UEFA Pro License Level 3 and FA Level 1 when it comes to football.

01:00I am very grateful for the trust that has been given to me. Thank you very much.

01:0714 players will be included in the national team

01:11including Philippine veteran voters, Katrina Gilu and Isabela Flanigan.

01:17Being given this opportunity from PFF and the coaching staff, I truly honored it.

01:22And I'm lucky enough to play with these girls that sit in front of me right now.

01:26And I can't wait to go to the tournament.

01:29Any chance to represent the Philippines also, I want to try my best

01:33and to be able to do something I love and have the opportunity is just amazing.

01:38Although the tournament is non-bearing for the Philippines

01:41because we are already in the 2025 FIFA Futsal Women's World Cup as a host country,

01:47PFF President John Gutierrez is still a challenger in our team.

01:52We expect to win that group.

01:55We expect to win that group.

01:57We expect to qualify for the AFC Championship in Thailand.

02:03The country is included in the group C of the tournament where they will face Kuwait on January 11,

02:09Uzbekistan on January 13, Turkmenistan on January 15, and Australia on January 19.
