00:00Australian men as well so that was probably the pro when they they did it
00:04really well they marketed it really well and there was some fantastic crowds that
00:07that came through the gate so but I think in saying that having a standalone
00:12and the focus solely being on our team I think that's the the major positive for
00:17us obviously the men have just had their limelight and and hopefully we can kind
00:21of come off the back of theirs and have a really successful summer
00:30yeah that's a bit of a hot topic at the moment I think it's obviously everyone's
00:39going to have their own individual point of view on that but I think just purely
00:43workload it's it would be quite tough just with how busy our summers are but
00:48personally I would love to see 3-3-3 it's obviously going to make the
00:53tours a lot longer I'm not sure where you're going to fit it in in that
00:56time frame knowing that we obviously have to play overseas competitions as
01:00well so it would be interesting to see where over the next four to five years
01:04kind of where that gets to but I know personally I would love to play more test
01:08cricket against England playing the one test kind of feels like a bit of a
01:12novelty sometimes so I guess being able to kind of fight out more of a test
01:16championship we obviously have some really good white ball games against
01:19England and and other nations around the world but I think the way that our two
01:23teams match up I think it would be a really cool test series to see who would
01:28come out on top for that but I don't think that's probably going to change
01:31anytime soon
01:46yeah I've struggled with the jet lag a little bit actually it was still awake
01:49at 4 a.m. this morning but yeah got a good good few days to sort that out but
01:54yeah good to be over here in Australia and avoiding the snow back home
02:02yeah I certainly think so I think we've got so much talent in the squad now and
02:07actually we've got kind of 18-19 players involved and you know each formats got a
02:12different squad it just shows the kind of talent that's around in England at
02:15the moment and yes certainly brought a very strong squad with a couple of
02:19people coming back from injury of like Freya Kemp and Danny Gibson fully fit I
02:22think it's great to have you know everyone firing fit and firing ready to
02:26go
02:38I think both on and off the field it was just an incredible series and to come
02:43back from pretty much having to win every single game to to draw the series
02:46I think we were really proud of ourselves and probably not you know
02:50elated and feeling like we'd won anything obviously the the trophy came
02:54back here to Australia so I don't think you can feel like you've won something
02:56but I think we've certainly felt like we put a statement out there that we can go
03:01toe-to-toe with Australia and really compete and also when our backs against
03:05the wall that we can show a lot of character and come through and really
03:09kind of yeah play some really good cricket against the world's best so yeah
03:12we were pretty pretty drained for emotionally I think if we're honest I
03:16think it was an incredible series and particularly it captivated the British
03:20public and we had sellout crowds throughout and to play at places like
03:24Lord's and the Oval with it with a sellout was just outstanding and
03:27hopefully something we're going to see in this series as well
03:40yeah I think our attacks looking really good you know the skill of Kate Cross
03:44Nat Sivabrunn and then the height of those two and Lauren Filer particularly
03:49I think again really ready to fire out here and obviously have a bit more pace
03:53and bounce in the pitches we saw in South Africa that you know she was
03:57pretty scary I was at short-legged I was thinking I need to take a step back here
04:01and I'm not someone that ever takes a step back and so yeah I think it's great
04:05to see her how she can go over here and really unleash her and Lauren Bell's
04:09like just developing even more and more the last few years so I'm really excited
04:13to see how our team is going in particular
04:28I think you can never discount the Aussies in terms of how competitive they
04:32are and how ready they are for a battle and they know what the Ashes means to
04:36them so I think you know we feel really prepared we feel South Africa was a
04:40really great test for us obviously they've done really well and developed a
04:44lot over the last few years reaching a lot of World Cup finals so they were
04:47going to be tough to play away and not in South Africa and we obviously came
04:51away with three series wins over there so it was a great prep for us but we
04:55know it's always a tough challenge to come to Australia and play the Aussies
