00:00So, let's get started. We'll start off with the big story in sports betting today before we get
00:03to the coaching carousel in the National Football League. A brand new idea that is being implemented
00:08by DraftKings Sportsbook. And by the way, credit to them in terms of marketing. There's a brand
00:13new subscription service that just launched, in case you missed it, over the weekend. It's going
00:17to give members increased odds on the types of bets that are most profitable to the company.
00:22Get this, subscribers to DK Sportsbook Plus are going to receive odds boosts on parlays. Yes,
00:28all of you who love betting on parlays. A two leg parlay gets a 10% odds boost. A three leg
00:35parlay, Luke, our director will love this, he gets a 20% boost. For parlays with 11 or more legs,
00:43which is crazy, the odds will give you a 100% boost. My goodness, here's the statement from
00:48DraftKings. Do they know how to market or what? The subscription service was designed to offer
00:52our customers an enhanced fan experience, creating more excitement and value to our
00:59parlay offering. There it is. Heck of a statement. Here's what it says. You guys love betting on
01:05parlays. We're going to try and entice you to bet on more. That's how it should read. That's
01:10not how it reads. The Tennessee Titans have fired their general manager, Rand Carthon, this morning.
01:15He was 9 and 25 over the last two seasons. The Titans have the first overall pick in the NFL
01:21draft. Their president of football operations, a gentleman by the name of Chad Brinker, is going
01:26to lead the new search for a GM. Brian Callahan will remain the head coach of the Tennessee
01:32Titans as they decide, as it looks like, between Cam Ward and Shadur Sanders. Meanwhile, the
01:37Chicago Bears coaching search continues. They're looking at potentially interviewing Mike McCarthy,
01:43former Super Bowl winning coach, most recently coaching and still coaching, by the way,
01:47with the Dallas Cowboys. As of right now, unclear as to whether or not they'll get permission to
01:52interview him. We'll see what Jerry Jones has to say about this on his radio show. Very odd
01:57situation continuing in Las Vegas. Antonio Pierce, the head coach there. Will he be the head coach
02:02in the future? No one really seems to know for sure. He had his end of the season press conference
02:07and was asked if he's going to be back next season or if not. Do you have any clarity on
02:14what's happening next year about your job sentence? I haven't been told anything different.
02:20Do you want to get that cleared up? It's only coming from the outside, it's not inside the
02:26building. So to me, there's nothing clean up until I hear it from inside the building.
02:29Got a big picture in not just roster and coaching staff, but what do you think you guys need to do
02:33to move forward to help turn things around? Gotta get better players, gotta coach better,
02:37gotta do a lot of things better when you only win four games. For yourself, individually,
02:41I know you obviously focus on the entire team, but for yourself personally as a head coach,
02:45what do you think you need to improve on the court? Everything that the head coach sees improving.
02:50I would say so. The Raiders were awful last year. Hey, Gus Bradley got fired yesterday. He's been
02:55fired a bunch here over the last decade. Sorry, Gus. Colts have fired him as defensive coordinator.
03:00He'll get another job, though. These guys in the NFL, they just keep cycling around. Packers wide
03:04receiver Christian Watson had season-ending ACL surgery, not going to play in their upcoming
03:08playoff game. All right, now let's get to some college football again. Thursday night,
03:11big games coming up. Friday night as well, Clemson has fired their defensive coordinator Wes
03:16Goodwin. He allowed 160 rushing yards a game. That's obviously not good. Jahlon Walker,
03:22Michael Williams headed to the NFL draft. They played for Georgia last season,
03:26and Oregon's great wide receiver Tez Johnson has declared for the NFL draft. He had 10 touchdowns
03:30last year. Derek Harmon is also headed to the draft as well. All right, in the NBA last night,
03:35the Mavs fell to the Grizzlies by a final of 119-104. The injury note from that game is
03:40significant. Kyrie Irving with his back issue is going to be out one to two weeks. Meanwhile,
03:45the Miami Heat led by double digits in the fourth quarter yet again, and they fall to the Sacramento
03:51Kings on a five-game road trip in game one. 123-118, double-digit lead squadron. I believe
03:58they led by 17 in the fourth quarter in this game. Of course, Jimmy Butler is suspended and
04:03not playing with the team for the time being. Eric Spolstra, the head coach, still looking for
04:07some answers how to close out games. Just some more poise, you know, offensive. We did so many
04:14great things to get up 17. And look, you know, battling back and, you know, even when they
04:20took the lead to, you know, get the same to overtime, then second overtime, there's so many
04:25just commendable competitive plays. We also have to, you know, make the right plays and you're up
04:3417, have a little bit more poise, you know, offensively, you know, just to make the defense
04:42work a little bit more, be a little bit stronger with the ball, you know, really trust it in those
04:48possessions and keep it a double-digit lead. We kind of fueled them going the other way
04:55with some quick shots. You don't want to play prevent offense. I'm going to have to look at it,
05:01but I felt like we could have been a little bit more intentional, you know, offensively. Then
05:05defensively, there's some good things, but then, you know, whether man or zone, we just could not
05:10come up with the rebound to seal, you know, stem the momentum, you know, or to win the game.
05:19As of right now, the Heat's still trying to find ways to win without Jimmy Butler. Anthony Edwards,
05:23another big game last night, 37 points, eight assists, seven rebounds. Wolves beat the Clippers
05:27108 to 106. Chris Finch clearly encouraged with some of the results as of late. Survived another
05:34slow start. Finally got our defense going. You know, I always thought it was both sides of the
05:40ball to start the game. Couldn't make a shot and then thought our defense was soft, but all credit
05:47to ourselves. We turned it around there and found rhythm on both ends. Ant was in another good
05:53rhythm in this game tonight. He seemed to be playing well with Dante. What was your read on
05:57that? Yeah, absolutely. I thought, um, did a good job of finding people, mixing up balance of being
06:04aggressive and also playmaking, get to the heart of the defense going quick. Um, you know, staying
06:09in one direction when he did go, you know, not trying to overcomplicate it in the crowd. Um,
06:16and then obviously, uh, you know, hit some massive big shots for us. As of right now,
06:22we're still trying to find answers. Whether the Philadelphia 76ers can hang on for dear life with
06:27missing Joel MP for basically every other game. Bradley Beal last night scored 25 points for the
06:34sons as the 76ers fall again. 109 to 99. They have been using Tyrese Maxey 40 minutes a night
06:41and was asked last night if he is running on thin ice. No, I don't think so. I think I'm young and
06:48you know, I get the proper rest and treatment. Medical staff does a really good job. I think
06:52the only time that it really gets me to be back to back sometimes and I'm already tired of those,
06:56but like, no, I feel good, man. My body feels really good. I've been lifting. I've been doing
07:00all the things to maintain that. When I say that, I'm just saying, like, I have to be able to be
07:05smart with it. And I know that I'm a play. So I know that the touches are going to be there. The
07:10shots are going to be there. And, um, I had to find ways to get others involved and make sure
07:14others feel good as well. I'm going to be out there a lot. I know that. So I think right now
07:20for the time being, the Philadelphia 76ers would like to get Joel Embita back every night. I don't
07:23know if that's going to happen. All right. Lots of baseball news, including this morning,
07:27the athletic reports, Brent Rooker is signing a contract extension with the formerly Oakland,
07:31now known as Sacramento A's five years, $60 million. The Reds have made a trade. They've
07:35acquired Gavin Lux for the Dodgers. Michael Lorenzen is backstarting in baseball going to
07:39be for the Royals this time, one year, 7 million. The Rays are planning on supporting Tropicana
07:44Fields, uh, repair for the 2026 season over $55 million. The result there in college troops last
07:50night, number 12, Houston beats TCU final score, 65 to 46. Also in double overtime, the Buckeyes
07:57beat the golden gophers and the big 10 89 to 88 and the Wisconsin Badgers. They moved to 12 and
08:04three with the big 10 wins 75 to 63 over Rutgers. And if college hoops is your bag, guess what?
08:12We've got a lot of that coming up next.
