00:00The National Capital Region Police Office is now ready for the translation of Jesus Nazareno on Wednesday, January 9.
00:08They are doing everything they can to ensure a proper and safe translation.
00:13This is what Alan Francisco has to say.
00:17The National Capital Region Police Office is currently not seen in Metro Manila.
00:23The translation of Jesus Nazareno will take place on Wednesday, January 9.
00:29According to Police Major Mirna Diploma of the NCRPO,
00:34they are ready for the security coverage of a proper and safe translation.
00:40More than 12,000 policemen will be assigned by the NCRPO in the religious event of the Filipino devotees.
00:46There will also be more than 2,000 from other agencies,
00:49while they will be added by the police, depending on the situation.
00:53Our Acting Regional Director, Police Brigadier Anthony A. Averin,
00:58will be on the ground to ensure a proper deployment and the condition of the policemen and devotees.
01:04The NCRPO has a heightened alert status until Monday, January 9.
01:08The authority repeatedly reminds us not to bring prohibited items so that we will not be exposed,
01:15such as hooded jackets, sombreros, angpayong, kapote, and bottles of water.
01:21If you are going to bring them, they should be transparent.
01:24You should also not bring guns, batons, or any other weapons.
01:28Do not wear a mask, because it is common for your skin to be exposed.
01:33Older people, persons with disabilities, and children are advised not to participate in the procession.
01:40The same goes for those who are drunk.
01:42Illegal vendors are also prohibited.
01:45Do not push during the procession so that no one will be hurt.
01:49Do not cross the road.
01:51We are also reminding everyone not to forget to be careful so that no one will be in danger
01:57and we can avoid any casualties or injuries.
02:00We are asking for the cooperation of the devotees to follow the rules set by the Church and the police
02:09so that the procession will be successful and proper by January 9.
02:14We are continuously coordinating with the Chiapas Church Administration.
02:19More than 6 million devotees fell during the last year of the procession.
02:23The authorities are expecting that more people will come this year
02:26who will start from the Carino Grandstand towards the Chiapas Church.
02:30It is the same.
02:32Our route last year, the recorded shortest time we reached was 14 hours.
02:38Based on the cooperation of the devotees, hopefully, we will be able to reduce the time.
