The Great North Run that takes place every year from Newcastle to South Shields, has opened is January ballot for people to sign up for those eager to take part and raise money for charities in one of the North East’s biggest events of the year!

00:10fill out an application and submit before the allocated deadline which is Wednesday 15th January at 2pm.
00:17The event this year is due to take place on Sunday 7th September.
00:21Last year there was a record-breaking amount of amazing individuals who took part in it, with over 60,000 participants.
00:28The race is inclusive to everyone with their elite wheelchair start as well as a visually impaired start.
00:33The race begins in Newcastle and ends in South Shields so the actual route is 21.1km or 13.1 miles long.

00:45The 2024 Great North Runners raised around £25 million for charities across the United Kingdom.
