00:00The Department of Agriculture has announced that the price of tomatoes and other agricultural products will return to normal by the end of January.

00:23The Department of Agriculture has once again insisted that the price of imported rice should not exceed P60 per kilo.
00:33It is in front of a plan to set a maximum suggested retail price for rice in order to stop the possible inflation.
00:41In the price monitoring of the DA, P38 to P65 per kilo of rice is included in the primary markets in Metro Manila.
00:51But according to the study of the agency, the most expensive price of imported rice should only be P52.
00:58The price of rice should be P52.

01:07This is already expensive, P615 per metric ton.

01:52The DA explained that there is a shortage of tomato supply.
01:56The inventory of chili and bell pepper is also decreasing due to the frequent floods in the regions of Cagayan, Bicol, and Calabarzon.
02:05There was a significant reduction in the production of tomatoes by 45 percent going into the fourth quarter of last year.
02:20They said that production may resume this January until February, starting the dry season.
