00:00The Department of Agriculture, or DA, is addressing high prices of rice in the country
00:04by monitoring and regulating costs of the prime commodity.
00:08Because of the high prices of imported rice, the DA is considering setting a maximum
00:13suggested retail price, or SRP, for the imported staple grain.
00:17This week, the DA introduced Sulit rice, an affordable imported rice sold at 36 pesos per
00:23kilo, which has been well-received by consumers.
00:27The rice is available in select Cadiwa stores, and the DA plans to expand its scope due to
