Rain, ice and snow might have affected your commute back to work this morning. Well, this comes as weather warnings have been issued across the UK. More than 260 flood alerts were set in place in parts of England and Wales.
Transcript
00:00The wintry weather will remain in place for much of this week.
00:05Met Office weather warnings remain in place and there are also many flood warnings from
00:10the Environment Agency also issued because of the wet weather we saw over the weekend.
00:14This area of cloud is an area of low pressure that is now heading out into the North Sea
00:19but the isobars pretty closely packed across the UK.
00:24It's windy out there and that is a cold wind.
00:26The wet weather is retreating but still some snow mixed in over the hills of eastern England
00:30as it starts to pull away out into the North Sea.
00:33And as these weather fronts approach they are going to bring the moisture.
00:37Bit of a question mark about exactly where this weather front sits.
00:40It could easily be a little further north than is shown here but it's going to bring
00:44that wet weather where it hits the colder conditions across the south likely to generate
00:49some snowfall.
00:51But big question mark about how far north, how far south it gets.
00:55Just one to watch at this stage.
