00:02Starting this year, some of you will be able to receive a medical allowance of Php 7,000.
00:08This is after the approval of the Department of Budget and Management
00:11on the guidelines on giving a one-year medical allowance.
00:15This will help the employees to receive health maintenance organization or HMO-type benefits.
00:21This can also be received as cash.
00:23The beneficiaries include those working in the National Civilian Agencies, LGUs, State Colleges and Universities,
00:30and Government-Owned and Controlled Corporations or GOCCs.
00:34According to the DBM, the agencies will decide when and how to distribute the medical allowance to their employees.
00:42The government agencies with HMO benefits, including the police and soldiers, are not included.
