00:00Most Jesus Nazareno devotees will tell you their top mission or most coveted objective

00:05in joining the traslacion and celebrating the feast of Jesus.

00:09Jesus Nazareno is getting a smudge image of the face of the iconic Nazareno on a white

00:15kerchief or piece of cloth.

00:17Then again, just as many devotees will settle in having their small or miniature replicas

00:22blessed or consecrated like thousands did today as we hear more from our Rod Laguzad.

00:35Around 30,000 people and over 8,000 accredited replicas of the Jesus Nazareno received their

00:41blessings in Quiapo Church.

00:42And one week before the actual feast, the situation has already felt pested.

00:46Following the activity, there's a shootout accompanying drum beats of the band along

00:49with the replicas where devotees joyfully join in making it loud and lively.

00:54This is part of the pre-activities ahead of the annual traslacion.

00:57Aside from the band, there are dancers, fire breathers, and even horses pulling a replica.

01:03Early in the morning, Elena's group arrived at Quiapo for the activity.

01:06She shared that it came all the way from Bukawe, Bulacan because this event is significant

01:10to them as devotees.

01:27For the event, a part of Cason Boulevard near Quiapo Church was closed and blessing was

01:31held at a nearby overpass unlike in previous years when it was done at Plaza Miranda.

01:36According to Reverend Father Robert Arellano, spokesperson for Nazareno 2025, the activity

01:41is a manifestation of the devotees' faith.

01:44He explained that they recognize their devotion and the role of the Ijos del Nazareno in helping

01:48preparing for the feast.

01:59Unlike previous years when this event would last 2-3 days, this year it was reverted to

02:04just 1 day due to the lifting of prior restrictions.

02:07Father Arellano reminded the devotees to make their celebration of the feast meaningful.

02:26Quiapo Church is in cooperation with the police in prepping for the expected and massive surge

02:30of devotees for the traslacion.

02:32Meanwhile, they are also preparing for tomorrow's anticipated crowd for the first Friday liturgical

02:37celebration for the year 2025.
