00:13From Naia, MJ went straight to Chiapu Church for worship.

00:17He came from America and has been working there for more than 20 years.

00:21He has been a devotee of Jesus in Reno for more than two decades.

00:25So whenever he goes back to the Philippines, his first destination is the Church of Chiapu

00:30to thank for all the blessings he receives.

00:34We are thankful that we were able to arrive safely.

00:38He gave me everything that I asked for.

00:43His siblings, Nana Isol and Nana Minda, came from Plaridel, Bulacan.

00:48They have been devotees of Jesus in Reno for more than six decades.

00:51They are also used to worship in Chiapu Church and to thank for all the blessings.

00:57They pray for peace for everyone and good health for their families.

01:14Two days before the feast of Jesus in Reno,

01:17the devotees of Minor Basilica and National Shrine of Jesus in Reno, Chiapu, Manila, arrived one by one.

01:23It was not hot or windy for them.

01:27They could only enter the church and listen to the Holy Mass.

01:32Many of them came from faraway places.

01:34Their prayers and requests were loud.

01:38The Mass in Chiapu Church started from 5 a.m. until 9 p.m.

01:45According to the Manila Police District, more than 1,000 devotees came to Chiapu Church today.

01:50Meanwhile, all systems go for the MPD for the upcoming feast.

01:54The security around the church is tight.

01:58There are also barricades around the church.

02:01Authorities have not yet investigated any untoward incidents.

02:05More than 14,000 police and augmented security personnel will be deployed on the day of the translation.

02:12The forces from the Police Regional Office 3 and 4A,

02:15Philippine Coast Guard, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, MMDA, and Manila LGU will also be deployed.

02:20Gun bans will also be implemented from tomorrow, January 8 until January 11.

02:25Liquor bans will also be implemented from tomorrow, 9 p.m. until January 10.

02:30Last year, more than 6 million devotees participated in the translation.

02:35It is expected that this number will increase this year.

02:39Meanwhile, the vendors around the church are also very active.
