00:00I was talking on my show about this after the game, which was
00:04watching Kyler Murray's body language in games is infuriating
00:08to me. I am a youth football coach, and I can tell you that
00:11body language would get you sent to the bench more often than
00:14not. Kyler Murray strikes me as a guy who's really good at what
00:17he does, but he doesn't love what he does. And it feels like
00:21leadership, quarterback play, emotion is infectious. If you
00:25watch, say, Jaden Daniels play, right? Jaden Daniels plays and
00:29seems to elevate everybody's spirits around him, right?
00:32Things aren't going away. He finds a way to make space, even
00:34if he doesn't. It's a different vibe. It's a different feeling,
00:37right? And I understand winning is always good, and everybody's
00:39happy when they're winning. But Kyler Murray strikes me as a
00:43guy who just doesn't want to be there. And you look at his body
00:47language, you look at him in the huddle, you look at him during
00:49these games, and he is blessed with incredible talent. He's
00:52got certainly great athleticism, speed, he's got good arm
00:56talent, he's got all the makings. Does he have size? No,
00:58but he's been able to overcome that and become an NFL
01:00quarterback. Is Kyler Murray a guy who just needs a change of
01:03scenery, or is Kyler Murray just a guy who is good at what he
01:06does, but has no passion for it? Because that's what it comes
01:10off to me as somebody watching him now for the last couple
01:13of years. I don't think that's a guy you can win with. Do you
01:16agree or disagree? Yeah, or is Kyler Murray just a guy, right?
01:20You know, is he a jag? And I don't think I would go that far
01:25because I do think he's talented. I think he's flashed
01:27enough of it in his career, although I worry about the
01:30mobility going forward, obviously, because it just feels
01:32like all of these guys that are that are that type
01:35stylistically, that type of quarterback, are just that one
01:38big hit away, right? I mean, how many careers have we seen
01:41impacted by that? And I can't, like I, you mentioned Lamar
01:44Jackson earlier, I constantly worry about Lamar taking that
01:47one knee shattering injury that all of a sudden he's just never
01:50the same dude again. So that that does worry me for sure.
01:54But with Kyler Murray, I don't know. I think he's, I think
01:57he's in a bad situation. And what I mean by that is, is the
02:01coaching offensive coordinator. I, I don't think it's set up
02:06well around him or it's an indictment of him. Either, either
02:10I'm wrong about that and it's indictment of him or he still
02:14has the potential because Lord knows he has the weapons and
02:17it's the coaching. Because the thing that in Fury, I talk
02:20about this on on SportsGrid all the time because I'm on a lot
02:23of Sunday afternoons during the four o'clock Eastern window
02:26and Cardinals games are on and it drives me nuts. It drives
02:30me nuts watching the game planning in these contests when
02:35they'll go an entire half with like two targets toward Trey
02:40McBride and I will be screaming at the computer at my television
02:44at my phone, whatever it is, like, how are you not involving
02:47this guy? He is so clearly your best offensive weapon. Why
02:52is Marvin Harrison Jr. Such a a non-factor this year?
02:56Why, why, why is there a more can't miss guy? Like, why is
03:00Marvin Harrison Jr.
03:01than Malik Neighbors is having? Like, what are we doing?
03:03Because, you know why Adam? Because they have him running two routes.
03:06That's why, because he runs two routes.
03:10That's what's so frustrating is you have a guy who might be,
03:13you know, Marvin Harrison looked like the most ready-made NFL
03:15talent, right? He's got the pedigree, 100% experience, played
03:19at the high level of college, Ohio State, wide receiver
03:21University, right? And one of the best, most polished route
03:25runners I've ever seen coming out of college.
03:27He runs two routes constantly.
03:29I just don't understand what's going on.
03:30If you look at the tree, you look at the breakdown, like,
03:32you know, Matt Harmon does the perception, reception, perception
03:36stuff, brilliant guy over at Yahoo, you know, breaks a lot
03:39of stuff down and you look at it, you're like, what are they
03:41doing here with this guy?
03:42And then Kyler Murray said, well, it's not my job to get
03:44into football.
03:44I disagree, Kyler.
03:45I think it is your job to get into the football.
03:47Adam, don't you think that's how you play quarterback?
