00:09The Department of Trade and Industry has called on the public to be responsible and give priority to the safety of the purchase of fireworks in celebration of the New Year.

00:19According to DTI Secretary Cristina Roque, it is important to buy products that can avoid accidents and ensure a proper celebration of the New Year.

00:28At the same time, DTI has released a list of fireworks that can be seen on their website.

00:34These lists will serve as a guide for consumers to buy fireworks that meet the safety standards.

00:43Meanwhile, the Philippine National Police reminded the police that illegal fireworks are prohibited in the upcoming New Year.

00:51PNP Spokesperson and Police Brigadier General Gene Fajardo explained that guns can be used whenever there is an official mission of a police.

00:59According to the official, it is possible for anyone to be charged and dismissed from the service.

01:05As of December 29, PNP has reported 15 cases of indiscriminate firing.

01:12One of these is a victim of illegal fireworks.

01:15Ten people were arrested for the incident, seven of them are civilians, while some are security guards, police, and a member of the Bureau of Corrections.
