00:00If you have a song in you, just come and sing it, because you may not get that opportunity again.
00:21Take me away from musicians.
00:24Take the music out of the conversation.
00:28And I do find myself lost.
00:32My name is Jonathan Pallant, and I'm the founding director of the Credo Community Choir of Dallas.
00:37Credo got its start in a series of I Believe sentences.
00:42We all believe that Credo should be a place that is welcoming of all people, at any stage of life, with any musical experience.
00:52And we surround ourselves with one goal, and that is to sing our beliefs and hopefully change hearts and minds of those who hear us sing.
01:02Singers walk in the rehearsal room and they dump their backpacks outside, but they also dump all the labels.
01:09None of that exists in the choir rehearsal room.
01:14What's left is the most important thing that's left.
01:18It's breath.
01:20We're all just sharing breath, and that has no label.
01:25Every time you say, I sing with Credo, you affirm that I believe that all people deserve equality.
01:34That we are equals, regardless of, and you can fill in your regardless of list.
01:42My first thought, if I cannot sing, I'm not showing what I'm living.
01:47If I could show a glimpse of this tour to my 10-year-old self, I think it would be too much to handle.
01:55Make music with mission.
01:59Make music to make a statement.
02:03It really does transform lives.
