ఏదైనా సాధించడానికి వయసుతో పనిలేదని నిరూపించింది ఆమె. ఎప్పుడూ చెరువులు, నదుల్లో దిగటం తెలియని ఆమె నలభై ఏడేళ్ల వయసులో శ్రీలంక జలసంధిని అవలీలగా ఈదేశారు. ఈ ఏడాది మార్చిలో పాక్జలసంధి 30 కి.మీ దూరాన్ని 13 గంటల 43 నిమిషాల్లో ఈదిన తెలంగాణ తొలి మహిళగా గుర్తింపు పొందారు.
