Oregon Ducks Terrence Ferguson Discusses Oregon's Improvement
Transcript
00:00I think this offense has improved across the board.
00:06I think our offensive line and up front, we're communicating really well.
00:10I think we're just getting comfortable with each other.
00:12And I think we go back and you watch some of the games and
00:15there's small little things that we just missed or there's a miscommunication.
00:19I think we've done a great job of seeing that, nipping it in the bud and
00:22just getting after each week.
00:25You do have that pressure and it's something we try to not focus on.
00:28We try to cut out all the outside noise and just go 1-0 each week.
00:31And that really does start with not thinking about it and
00:34preparing each week like it is your last game.
00:36It is a 1-0 season is how we look at it.
00:40So I think for us, it really just starts in practice, meetings.
00:43And if you take care of the preparation, you're free to play on the game day.
00:46So I think that's really where it starts.
00:48And I know a lot of people talk about it, but we've been about it and
00:51it starts in practice.
00:53This team has been different across the board from when everyone got here.
00:57You could pull a lot of pieces from different ways and
01:00whether that's freshmen from high school or transfer portal now.
01:03Everyone got here with a common goal, and that's win.
01:07And I think there wasn't the individual seeking and
01:10I think a lot of guys bought into what our DNA traits are.
01:14And I think this team is super connected.
01:16I think we compete every time we get on the field, whether that's practice or
01:20a game.
01:20So I think really the togetherness, the connection part, and we've been tough.
01:25We found ways to win when we probably shouldn't win.
01:27So I think that's what makes this team special, the toughness and
01:29the connection.
01:31Those are two things that stick out for sure.
